SHIB breaks through the key moving average, showing a bullish trend.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) has shown new strong momentum after many important technical breakthroughs. Currently, SHIB is trading at approximately $0.0000521, and buyers are actively defending the key moving average. Judging from the four-hour chart, the token is in a rising channel. At the same time, Vitalik Buterin's historic SHIB destruction remains a central part of his supply narrative. As momentum builds up, traders are closely watching whether SHIB can break through resistance and extend the current recovery.
If SHIB successfully breaks through the key resistance level of $0.0000536, the next potential target will point near $0.0000575 and $0.00000622.
The technical structure is turning, and SHIB is ready to go.
Shiba Inu was launched in August 2020 by anonymous developer Ryoshi. The project is inspired by Shiba Inu breeds and meme culture. During the rapid rise of coins, early supporters often called SHIB a "dogcoin killer." Since its launch, the project has moved beyond the limitations of a single meme asset and expanded into a broader ecosystem that includes the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange and the Shibarium secondary network. These new components build a richer ecosystem around SHIB, allowing investors to track in addition to price.
Based on the market data provided, SHIB is currently trading at approximately $0.0000521, an increase of approximately 0.7% in the past 24 hours. This price level puts SHIB's market value close to US$3.073 billion, ranking around 33rd in the cryptocurrency market value rankings.
Futures markets show active trading activity on major exchanges. OKX led the way with volume of approximately US$12.71 million, followed by LBank, with volume of approximately US$12.01 million during the same period. Exchanges such as Bitget, MEXC, Gate, Bitunix, WhiteBIT and KuCoin also contributed considerable trading activity.
Vitalik's destruction legacy adds a new dimension to the SHIB story
Vitalik Buterin is closely linked to the supply history of Shiba Inu. In 2020, the anonymous creator of SHIB transferred half of the supply of 10 trillion coins to Buterin, and the transfer was not at Buterin's initiative. This extraordinary transaction later became one of SHIB's defining supply events. In May 2021, Buterin donated 50 trillion SHIBs for COVID-19 relief work in India. The destruction at the time was worth approximately US$6.7 billion and permanently removed a large number of SHIBs from circulation. Buterin said he did not want to hold such a large token allocation, so the historic destruction had a lasting impact on the supply of SHIB. Since then, no project-led destruction operation has reached the same scale. SHIB's supply story still traces in part to this extraordinary event.
Whenever investors discuss the long-term valuation of SHIB, this history remains relevant. Reduced supply can increase scarcity when demand grows. However, destruction alone cannot guarantee a continued increase in prices. Market demand remains the main driving force behind major price changes.
From a technical perspective, SHIB currently faces a critical area of resistance.
