This week's Cardano (ADA) price trend forecast

In the previous issue of Cardano's weekly forecast, we outlined three possible paths for ADA: a bullish scenario requires a breakthrough of US$0.23 and a move towards US$0.24; a bearish scenario points to US$0.20 and may even drop to US$0.19. In the end, the ADA entered a weaker path, recovering slightly after falling to around $0.20. Currently, the price of Cardano is US$0.2077, down slightly by 0.03%, and trading volume has dropped by 70%. This decline in trading volume suggests that market participation is cooling as ADA struggles to recover lost ground.

Against the backdrop of new macro pressures on the market, new developments on the Cardano and Midnight networks, and close proximity to key technology levels, the current question is: Can the bulls hold the $0.20 defense line, or will there be a new round of decline? Here is an analysis of ADA's likely trends this week.

Recent news that has driven Cardano price changes

In the recent volatility triggered by CPI data, Cardano faced huge liquidation pressure, and approximately US$2.06 million in ADA positions on the centralized exchange were forcibly closed. Of this, long positions accounted for approximately US$1.89 million and short positions accounted for approximately US$174,080, indicating that bullish traders suffered most of the losses. The wave of liquidations comes as the ADA moves towards the $0.20 area, forcing over-leveraged traders out of the market.

The August CPI report also put pressure on the broader cryptocurrency market. Core inflation was higher than expected, raising concerns about the Federal Reserve's policies and triggering large price fluctuations in Bitcoin, Ethereum and altcoins. ADA derivatives are also involved in this macro trend, so the number of open contracts and funding rates become important indicators to observe when traders decide whether to rebuild leveraged positions.

Another development that may support Cardano prices is the integration of the ADA trading plan into the German Volksbanken Cooperative Bank Network. Most banks are expected to complete MiCA notifications and activate the meinKrypto service in the fourth quarter of 2026, allowing customers to purchase Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, including ADA, through the VR Banking App. This provides Cardano with a regulated retail channel that could expand demand for ADA if promotions attract meaningful trading activity.

Charles Hoskinson also raised concerns about privacy when using cloud-based AI models and linked this issue to Cardano's Midnight network. His view is that private infrastructure can allow AI-related workloads to run without exposing sensitive information to platform operators. This development, while not directly changing Cardano's price, gives Midnight a use case associated with a rapidly growing technology field.

Midnight is also changing the way it supports ecosystem growth, its dedicated developer relations team is shrinking, and AI tools will play a greater role in helping builders with non-technical backgrounds. The idea is to make it easier for people who do not have traditional coding skills to participate. The results will depend on whether these tools translate into practical applications and bring sustained activity across the network.

Why Cardano still has a fundamental advantage

An article on the X platform listed five reasons for Cardano's design: peer-reviewed research, liquidity pledges that do not require lock-in ADAs or face penalties, predictable fees, a large pledge pool with saturated rules, and on-chain governance backed by the treasury.

These features support pledge flexibility, decentralization and ecosystem funding. They cannot guarantee a rise in Cardano prices this week, but they provide fundamental support if market conditions improve.

What does the Cardano chart show

We looked at the chart and the structure was mixed but still biased towards bearish. The ADA reached about $0.258 in late August, then fell to around $0.173, and then rebounded to around $0.23 in early September. The rally failed to hold and the market formed a lower high, sending Cardano back to $0.2077.

The $0.20 area is the first major support level. If it breaks below this level, the next target will be US$0.19, followed by the US$0.173 -0.1709 range. On the upside side, the ADA needs to recover $0.2115 first, followed by the $0.22 -0.23 range.

The RSI indicator is around 44.9, which is below the central axis of 50, indicating that the bulls have not yet regained control. The Stochastic indicator is about 44.4, and the fast line is above the slow line, sending a slight bullish signal. However, a 70% drop in trading volume limited the strength of confirmation behind this momentum.

Where are Cardano prices going this week?

Bullish path: If the ADA recovers $0.2115 and breaks through $0.23, the Cardano price will reach $0.24. A breakthrough of US$0.24 may open the channel for US$0.258, and US$0.27 is also a possible target driven by stronger demand for altcoins.

Neutral path: ADA will fluctuate between $0.20 and $0.23. Bulls need to defend the $0.20 -0.2115 range, but repeated failures at $0.23 could cause ADA prices to fluctuate within the range.

Bear path: starts with a clear break below $0.20. This will focus on US$0.19, followed by the US$0.173-US$0.1709 range, with US$0.16 becoming a deeper target if the area falls. Given the RSI below 50 and weak volume, this remains the main downside risk.

FAQs

Can Cardano prices reach US$0.24 this week?

Yes, but the ADA first needs to recover $0.2115 and break through the $0.23 resistance level. If bulls clear the $0.24 hurdle, the next target could be $0.258 or even $0.27.

Why are Cardano prices falling?

The recent weakness is related to broader cryptocurrency volatility, CPI-driven clearing, and lower trading volumes. The ADA remains below key resistance, with an RSI of around 44.9, indicating that bulls have not yet regained control.

Is Cardano a premium cryptocurrency worth buying?

Cardano has multiple fundamental advantages, including liquidity pledges, predictable fees, decentralized pledge pools and on-chain governance. The planned German bank consolidation and Midnight's privacy and AI initiatives may also support the ecosystem, although they do not guarantee higher ADA prices.
