Kalshi提案对美国股票市场的影响
Perpetual futures are a widely used derivative format in the cryptocurrency market, where contracts are not settled on a predetermined maturity date. Instead, traders often rely on a funding mechanism-payments exchanged between long and short positions-to encourage perpetual contracts to track the spot price of the underlying asset.
In Kalshi's filings, exchanges described contracts tied to U.S. stocks that also avoid fixed maturity dates and use regular funding payments to synchronize contract prices with reference stocks. Kalshi also positioned the product as a "securities futures", which would place the proposal on a specific regulatory track and allow liquidation through Kalshi Klar.
Coinbase and Payward join the wave of single-share perpetual futures
Kalshi's filing comes at a time when cryptocurrency companies and crypto-related trading platforms are promoting the introduction of permitable derivatives into the U.S. stock market.
According to another report, Coinbase submitted its own proposal on the same day to provide perpetual futures linked to U.S. stocks. The coincidence of this time point suggests that this was a coordinated attempt rather than an isolated experiment.
