Bitcoin Daily Forecast Review and Market Status

In the last Bitcoin Daily Forecast, we pointed out that the BTC price may consolidate between US$78,400 and US$80,000, of which US$79,600 is the key barrier towards US$80,400 and US$81,500. However, BTC failed to maintain this recovery momentum and currently remains at around US$78,656.16, leaving the bearish pressure below US$79,600 intact.

Markets are also facing new catalysts that need to be digested, including today's release of U.S. producer price index (PPI) data and unemployment benefit claims. The core PPI is expected to be 0.3%, up from the previous 0.2%; the overall PPI is expected to be 0.4%, up from the previous 0.0%; and the number of jobless benefits applications is expected to be 205,000, slightly lower than the previous 206,000. So, where will Bitcoin prices go today?

News factors that may drive Bitcoin prices today

U.S. economic data is the most direct catalyst affecting Bitcoin prices. The core PPI is expected to increase from 0.2% to 0.3% month-on-month, and the overall PPI is expected to increase from 0.0% to 0.4%. Stronger-than-expected inflation data could increase pressure on risky assets, while softer-than-expected data could improve the market environment for Bitcoin.

In addition, Bitcoin is also facing supply pressure from open miners. According to reports, miners sold 28,000 to 32,000 BTC pieces in the first half of 2026, valued at approximately US$1.78 billion at the time. Much of this money supports miners 'expansion into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, involving investments of more than $70 billion, which constitutes another source of Bitcoin supply that traders need to monitor.

Technical Analysis of Today's Bitcoin Chart

We reviewed the chart and found that the BTC price is still below the four-hour band high of US$79,611 identified in the latest market structure. Prices climbed towards the US$80,500 region in early September, but were then suppressed by sellers and fell back. The latest K-line remained below the resistance zone of US$79,500 -79,600. As long as the buyer does not regain the area, the immediate structure still needs to be cautious.

The chart also shows resistance around US$80,516, followed by a larger level of US$83,000 set at the top. Between the current Bitcoin price and US$80,516, the market has multiple smaller resistance levels in the US$79,000 -79,700 range. Therefore, if you can break through US$79,611 cleanly, you will provide buyers with room to test US$79,741 and then challenge US$80,516.

Momentum indicators have not yet given buyers a clear advantage. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) was 44.34, below the median of 50 and slightly below its moving average of 44.71, indicating momentum remains weak. The Ultimate Oscillator is 45.14, also below 50, further confirming the current lack of strong bullish momentum in Bitcoin prices.

Recent K-line also shows that multiple attempts to recover above $79,000 have encountered selling pressure. Bitcoin prices have moved from the area above $80,000 to the $78,000 area before rallying, but this rally has not yet cleared the key $79,611 band high. Therefore, the next reaction around $78,031 and $77,615 will determine whether BTC finds another opportunity for recovery or opens a deeper downward path.

Bitcoin price outlook for today

Bitcoin prices are reacting from a four-hour band high of US$79,611, making US$78,031 the first downside target and US$7,615 the second target. If either level attracts buying and stabilizes, bitcoin prices could rise back to $79,741, then challenging a daily high of $80,516. A breakthrough of $80,516 would open the door to the main resistance level of $83,000.

If $78,031 and $77,615 cannot be held, bearish views will strengthen. This will expose Bitcoin prices to the $76,000 region, and if selling pressure continues,$72,000 will become a more far-reaching target. Therefore, for September 10, the key upside level is $79,611 and the downside level is $77,615, and the U.S. PPI data could be a potential catalyst for wherever side breaks first.

FAQs

What is the Bitcoin price forecast on September 10?

If BTC breaks through the band high of $79,611, the Bitcoin price may test $79,741 and $80,516. If it fails at $78,031 and $77,615, BTC could move towards $76,000 or even potentially $72,000.

What factors may drive bitcoin prices up today?

Softer-than-expected U.S. PPI data could support Bitcoin by easing pressure on risky assets. Breaking through $80,516 will also improve technical settings and open the path to $83,000.

Why are Bitcoin miners selling BTC?

Open Bitcoin miners sold an estimated 28,000-32,000 BTC in the first half of 2026, valued at approximately US$1.78 billion at the time.
