BTC The Bitcoin wallet that has been dormant for fourteen years is finally activated
A wallet that has been inactive since the early days of the Bitcoin network has transferred 100 bitcoins (BTC) after more than 14 years of silence, once again drawing attention to one of the most bizarre legal disputes in the history of cryptocurrencies.
The wallet from 2011 finally woke up
The wallet first received Bitcoin on November 2, 2011, when the transaction price of Bitcoin was about US$3. Since then, the wallet remains static until the bitcoins are transferred in block 967732. Since the initial acceptance, the value of the position has increased by approximately 2,486,052%. Based on current prices, the transfer is worth approximately US$8.09 million.
Galaxy Research highlighted this trend on the X platform and identified the sender as "Noah Doe #3113" from the address 1Mj5R3kbScUeccyiNKJnAMk6vhHppzsEq 8. The wallet received Bitcoin just a few months after Satoshi Nakamoto stopped public activities and has been dormant ever since.
This bitcoin reserve was likely mined before the first halving, which occurred on November 28, 2012. Each block at the time generated a reward of 50 bitcoins, so a wallet holding exactly 100 bitcoins may imply that the holder was an early bitcoin miner, although there is no further fact to confirm this.
Noah Doe lawsuit

批评人士也指出了一项根本障碍：如果没有私钥，宣告性判决在实际操作中将是无用的，而原告并不拥有私钥。
此次转账并非孤立事件。据Galaxy Research追踪的数据，去年活跃于2011年至2014年间的六个钱包在8月16日至8月26日期间共转移了553.59枚比特币，价值约4000万美元。Galaxy将2024年和2025年描述为大量分发时期，并表示2026年休眠比特币的移动量预计将仅为去年的不到一半。
