Bitcoin short squeeze

On Monday, Bitcoin briefly broke through the $85,000 mark, reaching its highest point in eight months, in sharp contrast to the price level defended the previous week. In early European trading, Bitcoin traded at US$84,984, up 5.4% in 24 hours, significantly higher than the high of US$82,284 set on September 4. The trend broke out of the price range that has suppressed every attempt at a rally since the spring and returned to near the average cost benchmark for U.S. spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which is about $82,225.
