XRP prices range fluctuates, with bearish pressure below the $1.44 resistance level intensifying
Against the background of market expectations set by the $1.30 support level and derivatives data, XRP prices are under the $1.44 resistance area. Under the growing bearish pressure, showing a range volatility trend. Currently, XRP is trading at $1.4162, failing to effectively break through the key resistance area of $1.44. Among them,$1.30 is an important support level, while $1.50 and $1.60 are the main resistance levels.
Futures market data showed that contract trading volume rose 10.34% month-on-month to US$3.94 billion, while open interest volume fell 1.44% to US$3.32 billion. Among the 24-hour liquidation total of US$14.16 million, the long liquidation amount was as high as US$13.69 million.
Encountered a wave of selling
Despite recent attempts to rebound, XRP still faces continued selling pressure. According to technical analysis expert CRYSTTOWZRD, after XRP refused to test the $1.4400 price, the K-line showed a bearish pattern that day. The current price is at $1.4162, a decrease of 2.53%.
This pullback has brought market focus back to XRP's recent support and resistance levels. Although XRP has rebounded from low levels, it seems that buying power is not enough to support further gains.$ 1.30 It is crucial as an immediate support level, and $1.60 constitutes a resistance barrier above.
Technical structure is still operating within the range
Looking at the longer cycle, XRP has experienced a long downward trend, with prices falling all the way from above $2.50 to around $1.00, during which time they continued to move downward through the bearish trend line connecting lower highs. After continued selling pressure pushed XRP into the $1.00 area and stabilized, the market ushered in a rapid rebound.
A strong recovery in August brought prices back to $1.50 and regained the $1.30 mark. However, a new round of selling pressure at high levels prevented the formation of a strong bull market. The recent rejection of the $1.44 price level still confirms the effectiveness of the medium-term resistance level. If the $1.30 support can be firmly held, the existing technical structure will be maintained and may start another round of rebound; on the contrary, if it falls below this support level, XRP will face greater downward pressure.
If the price stabilizes above $1.50, buying momentum has increased; while a breakthrough of $1.60 marks a stronger shift in the market structure.
Derivatives trading hints at continued market participation
The XRP derivatives market shows an increase in contract trading volume and a decline in open interest volume. Contract trading volume increased 10.34% to US$3.94 billion, while open interest volume decreased 1.44% to US$3.32 billion. This data indicates that the turnover rate of positions is increasing and some positions have been closed. Based on these data alone, it is impossible to judge whether the market is planning a bullish breakthrough or continuing a bearish trend.
The situation in the options market is different. Options trading volume fell sharply by 39.68% to US$3.29 billion, while options open interest volume increased slightly by 1.08% to US$69.87 million.
The overall 24-hour long-short ratio is approximately 0.8997. But on certain exchanges, the ratio is higher, such as the XRP/USDT long-short ratio of 2.54 on Binance and 3.19 on OKX.
Massive liquidation shows bearish pressure
Liquidation data further confirms bearish pressure on bullish bets. The total liquidation amount throughout the day was approximately US$14.16 million, of which long liquidation accounted for US$13.69 million. During the 12-hour time frame, the liquidation amount was US$5.03 million, of which long liquidation accounted for US$4.78 million. The above figures suggest that positions betting on price increases have suffered the main liquidation shock.
Overall, the XRP seems to be at a stalemate: multiple parties are trying to push prices back, while the bears are trying to drive down the price of cryptocurrencies. Currently, investors need to pay close attention to the $1.30 support level and the $1.44,$1.50 and $1.60 resistance levels to catch possible directional breakthrough signals.
