Key price resistance and technical indicators

SOL reached $117 after a 21% surge in a week, but was still 44% lower than the price of a year ago. SOL needs to rise 152% to hit the peak of $295 set in January 2025.

Internet costs plunged 97%, from $33 million a day to about $1 million.

The U.S. Solana Spot ETF attracted a net inflow of US$28.87 million on September 22, bringing the cumulative inflow to US$1.47 billion.

As the September 28 "Alpenglow" network upgrade approaches, technical analysts view the US$119 -121 range as a key resistance band.

Solana (SOL) Price Trend

SOL is currently trading at US$116.87 and has experienced a sharp 21% rebound in the past seven days. Despite its recent strong performance, the digital asset is still down 44% compared to its value twelve months ago. To return to the peak of $295 set in January 2025, the current price will need to increase by an additional 152%.

This January high coincides with the memecoin trading boom, driven in part by the launch of the TRUMP token. At that time, Internet costs were as high as $33 million per day. The current daily cost hovers around $1 million, a drop of 97%.

Since previous highs, Solana's circulating supply has expanded. There are currently approximately 587 million SOL tokens in circulation. If the token price returns to US$295, the network valuation will be close to US$173 billion, exceeding the previous high of approximately US$140 billion.

Emerging demand channels are limited in size

One of the new sources of buying pressure is institutional investment vehicles. As of September 17, the U.S. -listed Solana Spot ETF managed approximately US$1.42 billion in assets, having recorded positive capital flows for twelve consecutive weeks.

SoSoValue data showed that on September 22 alone, these funds recorded a net inflow of US$28.87 million. This pushed total cumulative inflows to US$1.47 billion, and total net assets to US$1.77 billion.

Tokenized stocks are another demand driver. Solana hosts approximately $465 million worth of such tools, leading all competing blockchains. On September 17, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) granted a five-year exemption period for trading platforms in the industry.

Market analyst SatoshiOwl pointed out that recent price movements are in line with his forecasts. He said: "What you say must be done. Yesterday I said that $SOL looked ready to pull back into the $113-$114 range before the next rise, and it did.# SOL directly pins into the area and bounces." He mentioned initially focusing on $120 and then on $124 if current support is maintained.

而事实正是如此。#SOL 直接插针进入该区域并反弹。
