SOL Price Dynamics and Institutional Outlook

According to Investing.com, on October 9, SOL's trading price was approximately US$110.46, down about 4% in 24 hours. In previous trading, SOL briefly fell to a low of $105.87 before recovering.

Meanwhile, based on recent reports on the bank's prospects, Standard Chartered continues to forecast that SOL will reach US$250 by the end of 2026. This means that in less than three months, SOL needs to rise about 126% from its current level of around $110.

Standard Chartered maintains target price of US$250.

Earlier this year, Standard Chartered's digital assets research team led by Geoffrey Kendrick lowered its 2026 Solana target price from US$310 to US$250, but also raised its long-term forecast.

The bank expects SOL to reach $400 in 2027,$700 in 2028,$1,200 in 2029, and $2,000 in 2030. Kendrick believes that Solana is gradually moving away from its reliance on memin transactions and moving to a micropayment system based on stablecoins.

However, this bullish argument is currently facing a severe short-term test. SOL has fallen below the $117 - 120 area highlighted in previous outlook, making $110 a key battlefield for buyers.

Can SOL hold the US$105 -110 range?

The latest wave of selling prompted Solana to fall below $110 on October 8, before buying stepped in around $106. SOL fell 5.79% on the trading day, compared with a cumulative decline of 3.67% the day before.

This makes US$105 - 110 a key short-term support area. If we can recover above $117, the market situation will improve; and if we stand back at $120, it is expected to challenge the September high again. Previous SOL market analysis also identified US$117 - 120 as the next major resistance level after SOL broke through US$110.
