Evernorth's Nasdaq listing puts XRP back at the center of attention of institutional investors.
On October 12, as Evernorth began trading on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, XRP once again became the focus of attention of institutional investors. The company officially entered the market with a reserve of approximately 473 million XRPs and a high cash reserve of US$300 million. This move is expected to increase institutional investors 'participation in digital assets, while investors are also closely watching whether prices can remain near $1.40 and whether they can break through the $1.50 resistance level.
How will Evernorth's landing on Nasdaq affect XRP?
Evernorth completed its merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II on Friday, clearing a major hurdle for its XRPN-coded shares to be traded on Nasdaq on October 12. The merger and related private equity rounds raised more than US$1 billion, with participants including well-known institutions such as Ripple, SBI Group, Kraken and Pantera Capital.
Currently, the company holds approximately 473 million XRPs in its reserves. In addition, Evernorth also has gross cash income of approximately $300 million. However, the company's strategy is not limited to simply hoarding and holding tokens for a long time.
Evernorth positions itself as a proactively managed XRP reserve company. The agency plans to use its capital for strategies to achieve institutional returns, infrastructure projects, on-chain credit solutions, and other activities within the XRP ecosystem. AllInCrypto also sees this step as an important development in the XRP space, noting that it is a sign that the largest public XRP reserves have entered Wall Street.
Is buying XRPN shares equivalent to buying XRP?
Here's a key point that investors need to distinguish clearly: the assets that start trading on Nasdaq are not direct XRP tokens, but Evernorth's XRPN-coded shares. As a result, investors who buy XRPN from traditional markets are actually investing in a company based on XRP reserves and its ecosystem, rather than buying cryptocurrency directly.
There are also exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the market that track XRP prices, and these products have recently attracted attention due to positive capital inflows. However, such financial products represent different investment vehicles than company shares or direct holdings of XRP. When making decisions, investors need to evaluate the risks, pricing mechanisms and access methods of each option separately.
Key levels in XRP price movements
In July last year, XRP hit an all-time high of $3.60, and then experienced a sharp correction due to macroeconomic factors. According to Xaif Crypto analysis, the token has recently tried to stabilize around $1.40. Analysts pointed to significant changes in long-term accumulation and allocation indicators and viewed $1.50 as a key threshold in the short term.
If XRP can break through this level again with strong momentum, it may reignite the upward momentum that began in mid-August and target new local highs. However, the establishment of $1.50 is not yet a foregone conclusion; price performance in the region still needs to be closely observed.
Technical indications are the US$3.65 target feasible?
Lana Valentis believes that XRP is seeking recovery after trying to escape the downtrend channel on the daily chart. According to its analysis, the price tested back on the channel after the breakthrough, indicating that there are still buyers in the market. If this trend strengthens,$1.70,$2.20 and $2.70 will become the next potential targets. The longer-term goal is the high of $3.65 seen in 2025.
These levels reflect the likely scenarios of technical analysts, but do not guarantee actual prices. Although Evernorth's move on Nasdaq is important for the development of institutional interest, the direction of XRP will still depend on overall market conditions and buying and selling demand.
