The decline in oil prices in global markets is one of the important developments that cryptocurrency investors pay close attention to. WTI crude oil futures, which reflects the U.S. market, opened the new week with a decline of 1.8% and fell back to US$90.28. The decline in oil prices follows an agreement announced by U.S. President Donald Trump to involve Russia providing 300,000 tons of diesel fuel to international and domestic market prices. The move was seen by the market as a partial easing of U.S. sanctions on Russian oil.
The large outflow of ETF funds has attracted attention
Although bitcoin prices have rebounded, US-listed spot bitcoin ETFs have experienced significant outflows. According to SoValue data, the total net outflow of funds reached US$681 million last week, setting a record for the highest weekly outflow since June this year. Most of the outflows were concentrated on October 7 and 8, raising concerns about institutional investors 'risk appetite.
Vikram Subburaj, CEO of Giottus Exchange, assessed that the volatility of ETF fund flows continues, and the strong outflow from October 7 to 8 reflects the current cautious strategy of institutional investors.
Key Points and Future Outlook
Cryptocurrency analysts generally believe that if Bitcoin wants to continue its rally, it is crucial to hold the $82,000 mark. Experts from BitDelta India and Giotus Exchange warned that once this level falls below, BTC prices may face deeper risk of correction. Next, the market's focus will be on the upcoming U.S. inflation data on October 14. If the data deviates from expectations, it could change the Federal Reserve's interest rate policy expectations. In particular, if inflation is lower than expected, it will further boost interest in allocating high-risk assets.
Summary
Despite an outflow of US$681 million in ETF funds, Bitcoin still stayed above US$84,000, sending a short-term stabilization signal. Falling oil prices and a general rise in the altcoin market have provided support for optimism, but institutional capital outflows and macroeconomic uncertainty remain potential risk factors. For investors, the effectiveness of the US$82,000 support level and the U.S. inflation data on October 14 will be key variables in determining the next stage of Bitcoin's price trend.
