DGrid AI's decentralized AI reasoning project officially launched its native token DGAI, which nearly doubled its price on the first trading day. According to CoinGecko data, DGAI traded at approximately US$0.73 on Tuesday, up nearly 93% from the previous 24 hours, with a market value of approximately US$110 million and trading volume of more than US$165 million.
This token release comes as DGrid expands its decentralized AI network. The network connects users and developers through distributed nodes, processes AI reasoning requests, and uses DGAI for payments, pledges, and node rewards.
DGrid's white paper states that its network routes AI requests to a model hosted by distributed nodes and uses a "proof of quality" mechanism to evaluate the results. Node operators need to pledge DGAI and receive token rewards by providing computing resources. If they perform poorly or commit violations, they will face penalties.
DGrid revealed to Cointelegraph that it sold more than 140 DClaw Boxes at a price of 1,580 USDT each in a matter of hours, with sales exceeding 221,000 USDT. The DClaw Box is a physical device specifically designed for DClaw personal AI agents running DGrid, connecting users to the AI model through a decentralized network of independent operating nodes rather than relying on a single centralized provider.
