KuCoin Web3 Wallet announced on September 2 that its self-managed trading interface has been upgraded to add intent-based exchange and limit order functions. The official announcement shows that this upgrade integrates UniswapX and PancakeSwapX as intention routing solutions, while the limit order function is supported by 1inch.
Intention systems compete to fill wallet exchanges
In eligible exchanges, users only need to specify the expected transaction results, which are executed competitively by third-party fillers or solvers. KuCoin said the available routes could provide broader liquidity, more competitive quotes, fuel abstraction, and protection against undesirable maximum extractable value, including pre-emptive transactions and pinch-in attacks. These advantages are conditional support and are not universally applicable. Specific routes depend on assets, networks and available liquidity, so supported wallets do not guarantee that every transaction will receive the same execution path or protection. The company did not publish independent execution benchmark data at the time of launch.
1inch drives the signature chain to place limit orders
The limit order function allows users to set target prices and expiration times. After the order is encrypted and signed, it remains offline until the transaction is completed, allowing users to simultaneously perform instant market exchanges and target price orders within the same interface. KuCoin has previously worked with 1inch in real-world asset trading, and this latest upgrade extends the execution process to limit orders.
Tokenized assets join extended routing
KuCoin said the upgrade will also apply to eligible tokenized assets, such as tokens for reference stocks, exchange-traded funds and other real-world assets. Access remains limited by issuer rules, user qualifications, network support, market availability and liquidity. The wording is important because the announcement describes supported routes rather than unlimited access to each tokenized security. In addition, the wallet continues to expand the network where users can access decentralized financial and tokenized assets. In July, it integrated Robinhood Chain to access DeFi, adding a separate connectivity layer to the execution tool announced this week.
Upgrade integrates transactions into a self-managed environment
The core change is the integration of workflows: users can route eligible exchanges and set limit orders without having to switch between multiple decentralized applications. KuCoin sees this as a simpler path from market discovery to execution, with users always retaining control of the private key. But self-custody does not eliminate trading, smart contracts or liquidity risk. The announcement confirmed integration and interface upgrades, but users still need to check network support, order terms and routing availability before signing a transaction.
