- Ondo integration brings tokenized securities to the NEAR network

NEAR Protocol has partnered with Ondo Finance, Tokenized versions of 20 U.S. stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and commodity-backed instruments are provided to eligible participants. Major technology giants such as Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon are included in the first batch of products released, as well as QQQ, SLV and IAU. Participants can use compatible digital assets such as Bitcoin and USDC to perform purchases without establishing a traditional brokerage relationship. The NEAR Intentions infrastructure connects more than 30 blockchain ecosystems and manages transaction routing between digital currencies and Ondo Stocks. Due to current securities regulatory restrictions, U.S. residents are currently unable to access Ondo Stocks.

Ondo Finance expands the influence of tokenized stocks
Ondo Finance has previously launched tokenized securities on the Ethereum, Solana and BNB Chain networks. The organization reports that its tokenized securities infrastructure has a total lock-in value of more than $1 billion and has facilitated more than $26 billion in total trading activity. NEAR's collaboration creates additional distribution channels rather than replacing existing networks. Ondo Stocks will also gain access through wallet apps, decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and other services integrated with NEAR Intents. Previous collaborations have also introduced Ondo-related tools to HyperEVM and facilitated the flow of tokenized shares between Ethereum and the BNB Chain ecosystem. NEAR's methodology differs in leveraging its intent-based routing infrastructure rather than requiring participants to manually bridge individual tokens. At the same time, Ondo Finance has also built a relationship with the traditional financial system. Its U.S. registered brokerage arm, Oasis Pro Markets, recently became part of DTCC's Fund/SERV infrastructure, which connects financial institutions with fund providers to handle transaction processing and settlement operations.
U.S. participants face access barriers
