SUI Price Trend Analysis
SUI token is currently valued at US$1.15, down slightly by 0.93% in the past 24 hours. The cryptocurrency remains above the psychologically important level of $1.00 that participants watch closely.
This $1.00 price level has undergone a major shift and has transformed from a resistance barrier to a support foundation. Driven by market buying, prices peaked between $1.25 and $1.30, before encountering profit-taking selling pressure.
In addition to price fluctuations, Sui has also attracted much attention due to strategic development. The blockchain platform revealed that ONE Championship will become a platinum sponsor of Sui Basecamp 2026, and the event will be held in Singapore.
Sui Network announced the partnership on its official social media site on X platform. The announcement emphasized that the "next billion Sui users" may come from sports enthusiasts who are only one application away from experiencing blockchain interactions for the first time.
This strategic alliance provides Sui with another compelling real-world use-case narrative. Ahead of the TOKEN2049 Singapore conference, the partnership enabled blockchain platforms to reach a large sports audience.
Derivatives indicators show strong growth
According to CoinGlass data analysis, the value of open interest contracts has climbed to more than US$1 billion. This is one of the most impressive numbers in the past few months.
When an increase in open interest occurs simultaneously with a rise in prices, it usually indicates that new money has flowed into the market. The indicator also hints at increased activity by derivatives traders to establish SUI positions.
Trading activity has also expanded significantly. Derivatives trading volume was close to $3 billion, well above levels for most of August.
During periods of price increases, short liquidations occur frequently. When traders bet on falling prices, they are forced to withdraw their positions as the value of the token rises, triggering liquidation.
Some long liquidations followed. This pattern suggests that certain market participants locked in profits after the SUI hit around $1.30.
Experts 'outlook for Sui's future
