The digital asset investor also discussed XRP's market activity and developments he believes may support institutional adoption. He pointed out that XRP is trading at about $1.50, while Bitcoin remains at around $86,000, and the entire market is waiting for a major move to emerge.
He highlighted developments involving XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including Grayscale's reported use of Anchorage Digital Bank as custodian and its physical subscription and redemption mechanism. He said this structure allows large participants to directly transfer XRPs into or out of ETFs without having to rely solely on cash transactions.
In addition, he pointed out the departure of XRP from the exchange and attributed a large proportion of the outflow to the activity of the "giant whale". He linked the trend to broader institutional interest in XRP.
The investor further discussed Evernorth and its plans involving XRP lending and institutional investors. He cited Evernorth CEO Ashish Birla's remarks about generating revenue from XRP and discussed the company's expected IPO.
Ripple, Regulation and the Clarity Act
Digital asset investors spend a lot of space discussing U.S. cryptocurrency regulation and the Clarity Act. He criticized delays in the legislative process, but also discussed comments that the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission could create rules to address some of the regulatory uncertainties covered by the bill.
He said regulators can speed up the pace through their own actions, emphasizing that the United States needs clear rules for digital assets. When discussing changes in the regulatory environment, he cited CFTC Chairman Mike Selig and former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo.
He linked these developments to the long-held belief that the United States should encourage financial innovation just as it supports Internet growth.
Why digital asset investors continue to be optimistic about XRP
Finally, digital asset investors return to the reasons why they have been optimistic about XRP for a long time. He discussed the design of XRP in the XRP ledger and cited an earlier explanation by Stanford University professor Susan Athey to explain how XRP differs from account entries that represent traditional currency claims.
He also highlighted developments such as tokenization, stablecoins, digital payments and institutional adoption that could reshape financial markets. Quoting Giancarlo's comments, he said blockchain technology could increasingly support tokenized securities, collateral and financial transactions.
Digital asset investors have finally reaffirmed their long-standing beliefs in cryptocurrencies and XRP.
