Solana leads gains in mainstream cryptocurrencies, while Bitcoin holds steady at around $78,800

Highlights

The cryptocurrency market performed mixed, with Bitcoin prices flat, while Solana led the lead in major assets with a 5.4% gain.

Ethereum and BNB both rose 1.6%, while XRP, TRON, Hyperliquid and Zcash fell to varying degrees.

PolySwarm and Bitlayer achieved triple-digit gains, while TAC, UP, Aura, Niu Lai and Kinesis Silver also recorded significant gains.

The cryptocurrency market is mixed, with mainstream assets divided between rising, falling and sideways.

According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin (BTC) is trading at US$78,812.88, which is basically flat, with a market value of approximately US$1.58 trillion. The largest cryptocurrency generated US$27.39 billion in transaction volume, maintaining its dominant position over other digital assets.

Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) rose 1.6% to US$2,491.90, with trading activity supporting US$12.4 billion in volume. Ethereum's market value remains at US$300.71 billion, consolidating its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency. BNB (BNB) also rose 1.6%, trading at $705.50 on volume of $906.3 million.

However, XRP (XRP) fell 1.8% to US$1.41 despite generating US$3.77 billion in trading volume. Its market value remains above US$88.21 billion, making XRP one of the top five cryptocurrencies.

Solana (SOL) was the biggest gainer among major currencies, rising 5.4% to around US$101.25. In addition, Solana generated $4.11 billion in trading volume, and its market value reached more than $59.13 billion during the period.

PolySwarm and Bitlayer led the gains, with triple-digit gains

Outside of its main assets, PolySwarm (NCT) led the gains with a 225.6% increase, with the price rising to $0.01655. Bitlayer (BTR) followed closely, rising 205.4% to US$0.1608, with trading volume reaching US$300.42 million, performing well.

PolySwarm recorded trading volume of US$119.6 million, while Bitlayer generated an even larger turnover of US$300.42 million during the trading period. TAC (TAC) rose 77% to $0.005729, and UP (UP) climbed 65.8% to change hands at around $0.332.

TAC generated US$24 million in trading volume, while UP had a relatively small turnover of US$3.13 million during the session. Aura (AURA) gained 49% to $0.02429 and Niu Lai gained 42.5% to $0.05259.

Meanwhile, Aura generated US$2.96 million in trading volume, and Niu Lai attracted US$25.91 million from active market participants. Kinesis Silver (KAG) rose 40.3% to $68.83, but its trading volume was relatively limited at $182,894. As a result, smaller coins dominated the percentage increase, while major cryptocurrencies showed restraint in this overall divided market.
