TLDR: Core Points
Why will Circle scale back USDC support on the Noble chain?
- Starting October 13, 2026, Circle will stop forging new USDC on the Noble blockchain through Circle Mint.
- After the redemption window ends, the Noble USDC contract will be completely suspended on January 12, 2027.
- The destruction limit of CCTP V1 on the Noble chain will be reduced starting on October 31, 2026 until it is closed.
- Circle will launch a manual USDC redemption portal for Noble holders on January 13, 2027.
Why did Circle decide to reduce its USDC business on the Noble chain?
Circle stated that Noble will not connect to CCTP V2. As Circle integrates its cross-chain infrastructure into next-generation protocols, Noble is gradually being marginalized. Compared to the older CCTP V1 system currently running by Noble, CCTP V2 provides faster final confirmation speeds and greater security.
The company confirmed the decision in a blog post posted this week. The article pointed out that throughout the transition period, all USDC on the Noble chain can be redeemed on a 1:1 ratio. As of October 12, 2026, Circle Mint customers can still use Noble services normally. Prior to this date, existing withdrawal and redemption operations will remain unchanged.
After this date, the ability to cast new USDC to Noble through Circle Mint will be disabled. Although the redemption function is still effective, the destruction limit of CCTP V1 will be gradually reduced from October 31, 2026. As the January deadline approaches, these limits will be rolled down to zero.
Circle's overall layout in the Cosmos ecosystem has not changed. Effective and other chains connected through IBC still maintain active partnerships. USDC continues to settle transactions in the Cosmos DeFi domain outside of Noble.
As part of our transition to the next generation cross-chain protocol CCTP V2, we will cease support for USDC and CCTP V1 on the Noble blockchain. CCTP V2 has faster final confirmation speed and stronger security.
Noble will not receive CCTP V2 support.

What do Noble users need to do before the deadline?
Institutional users and self-custodial wallet holders have three months to transfer funds. From October 13, 2026 to January 12, 2027, USDC can still transfer funds freely on the Noble chain. Circle recommends three exit paths during this period:
- Deposit on a centralized exchange: A centralized exchange that supports Noble USDC is available as an option.
- Decentralized exchange redemption: Can be redeemed on DEX on the Noble chain.
- CCTP V1 Destruction: USDC is destroyed and transferred to a supported destination chain via CCTP V1 before the window period closes.
Circle plans to publish a list of known exit locations. The company said it does not run any exit interfaces itself. According to a blog post, after December 1, 2026, the CCTP exit channel may narrow to those chains that still accept the CCTP V1 destruction operation.
Developers building CCTP V1 support for Noble face a separate deadline. Circle hopes that Noble will no longer be a supported route before January 12, 2027. Once the contract is suspended, any integrations that rely on this route will stop working.
Holders who miss the time window will not be completely locked out. Circle will take a snapshot of all remaining Noble balances on the suspension date and open a manual redemption portal. The process will begin on January 13, 2027 and will be open to wallets that meet Circle compliance and security inspection requirements.
