Zcash ETF's asset management scale exceeded US$500 million in the first two weeks
Zcash, the main virtual currency, recently revealed that its recently launched cryptocurrency ETF's asset management scale (AUM) has exceeded US$500 million in the first two weeks of listing and trading. Grayscale launched the product late last month after approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission paved the way for the asset manager to launch the investment vehicle. With regulatory approval, Grayscale launched what is considered the first Zcash ETF to be listed in the United States, allowing U.S. investors to directly participate in ZEC investments.
According to data shared on platform X today, the Zcash ETF, which will be launched on August 25, 2026, has trading volume exceeding US$500 million in its first two weeks of trading.
This development marks an important milestone for institutional Zcash products, allowing U.S. investors to gain direct access to ZEC exposure through brokerage accounts without having to buy or hold the asset themselves. As assets under management exceed US$500 million, the Grayscale Zcash ETF is establishing its status as the Zcash investment vehicle of choice for U.S. investors.
This product provides a dedicated Zcash investment channel for Asset Management Company (Grayscale)'s U.S. customer base. It reached US$500 million in just two weeks, indicating that capital inflows have been stable since its launch. In other words, the asset management scale of more than US$500 million shows continued strong investor demand and the high level of trust that institutional investors place in ZEC.
Although the ETF provides a regulated Zcash investment channel through well-known asset manager Grayscale, its excellent performance also reflects the strong market demand for institutional Zcash products.
ZEC gained strong gains, supported by ETF boom
At the end of last month, ZEC regained its footing at the $800 mark for the first time since 2018 after Grayscale began to transform its trust funds into Zcash ETFs. As a result, strong institutional demand for ZEC exposure has driven the asset's price higher.
Last Friday (September 4), supported by strong institutional interest in ETFs and rising demand for privacy-conscious currencies, ZEC continued its gains and broke through the $1000 mark.
Currently, ZEC is one of the best performing cryptocurrencies. Today, its trading price was US$1,123, with gains of 55.0%, 151.3% and 2497.8% in the past week, 30 days and 12 months respectively, indicating its continued bull market.
