Binance will carry out system upgrades and transaction pairs adjustments in September 2026.
Binance recently announced that its platform will undergo a series of updates and planned maintenance work in mid-to-late September 2026. By then, the usage activities of global users will be affected.
Wallet System Upgrade Arrangements
Binance informs users that the wallet system upgrade will begin at 06:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on September 22, 2026. This action is part of the company's continued plan to optimize and strengthen its infrastructure.
During the one-hour upgrade window, all recharge and withdrawal services on the platform will be temporarily suspended. Trading activity, including all spot and leveraged trades, will not be affected by the upgrade, the company said.
Once the upgrade is complete and the system is confirmed to be stable, the Exchange will resume top-up and withdrawal services. Binance said it would not issue a separate announcement to notify users when these services were resumed. Binance stressed that this infrastructure upgrade is aimed at ensuring the reliability of the system and improving the user experience, while ensuring uninterrupted trading operations.
Some spot and leveraged trading pairs will be launched in September
In addition to wallet upgrades, Binance will also remove four spot trading pairs from the platform at 03:00 UTC on September 18, 2026. The exchange emphasized that the move is in line with its commitment to maintaining a safe and high-quality trading environment for users.
According to Binance, trading pairs are regularly reviewed and may be removed if there are signs of weak liquidity, low trading volume or other signs of declining market performance. On the same day, Binance will also remove five leveraged trading pairs at 06:00 UTC. Affected include cross-account leveraged trading pairs ENJ/USDC, GENIUS/USDC, CVX/USDC, GUN/USDC and VANA/USDC, and segregated account leveraged trading pairs GENIUS/USDC. The exchange urges users to make necessary arrangements before these changes take effect to avoid affecting their trading strategies.
Stop Pax Dollar (USDP) spot trading
After recent internal review, Binance will also remove the trading of all Pax Dollar (USDP) spot trading pairs at 03:00 UTC on September 24, 2026. Users who hold or trade USDP-related trading pairs should be aware of this deadline for market changes.
The exchange reiterated its practice of continuously evaluating the market and taking action based on identified risks and inefficiencies to protect user interests and market integrity. No details have been disclosed about the re-launch or future support of these assets.
While monitoring transaction pairs and upgrading technical infrastructure, the global digital asset market is also witnessing new developments in the field of asset custody. Wall Street is increasingly transitioning to Web3 as investors use platforms to tokenize traditional financial securities and precious metals. Investors can store these assets directly in their crypto wallets and enjoy the benefits of instant price discovery without middlemen. The removal of trading pairs is part of Binance's efforts to continuously review market activities and protect user interests. Regular evaluations have resulted in the removal of assets that fail to meet exchange standards.
