Strategy returns to the track of increasing Bitcoin holdings, purchasing 1,665 BTC units in a single week.

After a summer break, the world's largest Bitcoin holder seems to have fully returned to buying mode. Just minutes earlier, the company announced its second consecutive week of major acquisitions.

The company's co-founder and former CEO Michael Saylor hinted at the purchase on Platform X yesterday and officially announced that the company had purchased 1,665 bitcoins in the past week, with an average cumulative price of US$85,681.

Currently, the company's total Bitcoin holdings have soared to 847,666, with cumulative investment costs of nearly US$64 billion. With the significant expansion of cryptocurrency prices over the past six weeks or so, the asset is now profitable, with a market value of more than $70 billion.

In addition to the Bitcoin acquisition, Strategy also bought back US$152 million worth of STRC shares, while still retaining cash reserves of just over US$6 billion on its books.

Saylor said on social media: "Strategy has purchased 1,665 BTC units and bought back US$152 million worth of STRC. As of September 27, we held 847,666 BTC and US$6.02 billion in U.S. dollar assets."

Looking back, Strategy suspended procurement activities for three weeks from the end of August to Monday last week. Subsequently, the company announced that it would purchase 950 BTC units for US$75.7 million, with an average price of just under US$80,000 each. At this point, the company has basically offset all sales completed during the summer.
