FollowingOpenAI launches GPT-6 and "smart interface" features to ChatGPT
OpenAI is fully deploying GPT-6 in ChatGPT and introducing a new feature called "Intelligent UI". This feature generates answers that include interactive charts, forms and calculators for more than 1.2 billion active users for more than 1.2 billion weeks.

GPT-6 deployment details
OpenAI posted a blog post on October 7 announcing the update, saying that GPT-6 has been trained to combine text, visual elements, and interactive elements to build responses based on the needs of each question. Paid plan users are the first to experience this feature.
Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers received access on the same day;Free and Go account users followed up on October 8. However, the usability of the Enterprise Edition depends on the settings of the administrator at your workplace.
In terms of model versions, the paid tier uses a model called GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go users use the slightly less powerful GPT-6 Luna. The model behind ChatGPT Work and Codex remains unchanged. Examples on official display include retirement savings calculators, bill apportioners, road travel maps, bicycle illustrations with clickable parts, and retro games that can be run within a conversation.
Response speed has also improved. The model can begin to output answers during the reasoning process. OpenAI says that on average, GPT-6 Instant responds 44% faster to web search questions than GPT-5.6 Instant. With the help of preset component libraries and compilers, the interface can be gradually presented as the model is generated, rather than waiting until the complete reply is completed.
Advantages of visual answers
OpenAI product manager Aarush Selvan told reporters that ChatGPT has long been mainly a text product, but for tasks such as planning travel,"the most helpful answers are not limited to text." He demonstrated this function on site and asked ChatGPT aircraft how to generate lift. The chat robot immediately demonstrated the principle of the aircraft maintaining flight in the air through multiple illustrations.
Technology industry writer Matt G. Southern believes websites built around calculators and conversion tools could face new competition because users can now request such tools without leaving the chat interface.
Technology writer AJ Dellinger warns that the feature may consume Tokens more quickly and that visual elements add another level of potential "hallucinations." OpenAI itself also acknowledges that the model's design judgment capabilities still need to be improved.
Precedents for generative interfaces
Generative interfaces are not new in the industry. Google launched a similar generative interface in its Gemini 3 model last year, and ChatGPT added interactive charting capabilities in June after launching interactive mathematics and science modules in March this year.
GPT-6 is released in phases. The Sol and Luna models were first launched for ChatGPT Work, Codex and API users on September 22, about two weeks before they entered the main chat product.
