Uniswap leads decentralized exchanges with US$70.6 billion in monthly trading volume, and UNI prices approach $6.40

Uniswap continues to maintain its leading position in decentralized exchange (DEX) activities, reporting that its 30-day trading volume was US$70.6 billion, pushing UNI prices to nearly US$6.40. Despite fluctuations in major assets such as Bitcoin, overall crypto market activity has remained relatively stable, and this growth is particularly prominent.

Uniswap sets a new transaction milestone

Uniswap reported US$70.6 billion in 30-day transaction volume, exceeding the combined activity of PancakeSwap, BisonFi and Meteora (which together processed US$44.6 billion during the same period). Among them, PancakeSwap alone recorded US$29.8 billion in transaction volume, BisonFi at US$8.9 billion, Meteora at approximately US$5.9 billion, and Raydium also reached US$5.9 billion.

The latest data shows that Uniswap's average monthly transaction volume increased 38% from US$51.1 billion from January to July. According to Crypto Briefing, the single largest source of Uniswap transaction volume is Robinhood Chain, which contributed approximately US$26 billion, while the Ethereum network contributed approximately US$23 billion. The rest comes from networks such as Base, BSC and Arbitrum.

Since its launch in 2018, Uniswap's cumulative DEX transaction volume has reached nearly US$3.7 trillion, and the total fees collected as of early August have reached US$5.1 billion. In a week in late August, the agreement recorded 28.9 million conversions, a further sign of strong user engagement. Recently alone, USDC's trading volume has exceeded the combined stablecoin trading volume of other major decentralized exchanges.

Uniswap handled more than US$70 billion in transaction volume in the past month, more than the next three DEXs combined. Robinhood Chain provided the largest share (approximately $26 billion), highlighting the shift in market network dynamics.

UNI Token Economics and Price Trend Analysis

The market's renewed interest in Uniswap fee-switch token economics coincides with price changes. The destruction of UNI tokens on September 4 exceeded US$1 million and was mainly driven by Robinhood Chain's activities. Wallet tracking analysis shows that some holders have doubled their UNI positions, but these actions are not directly linked to recent price increases.

Immediate resistance for UNI is between US$6.45 and US$6.50, marked by a 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level and a seven-day moving average. If prices can close above this range, analysts believe further recovery could be expected. Conversely, if the price closes below $6.10, the focus may shift to support near $5.82, which is consistent with the 38.2% retracement mark and reflects technical patterns such as a circular bottom breakout.

StablePair Hook launches: introduces new stablecoin fee logic

Uniswap Labs introduced the StablePair Hook for the v4 version on September 10, which is available for the USDC/USDG and USDC/USDT funding pools on Ethereum. This upgrade uses a dynamic cost model. When the price of the stablecoin deviates from the reference exchange rate, the cost will increase. Within a narrow price range, the system provides a fixed bid-ask spread; but as prices drift, the system will implement Dutch-style auctions for redemption to correct market imbalances. This process aims to allocate more of the proceeds to liquidity providers while minimizing arbitrage opportunities.

In the second quarter, stablecoin-to-stablecoin exchange on Uniswap reached US$43.4 billion, exceeding the combined value of the next three on-chain locations. With StablePair Hook, governance agencies can adjust fee logic and pool parameters without requiring liquidity provider migration. This feature, along with other v4 hooks such as DualPool, Permitted Pools, and LitePSM, extends the options provided by fund pool creation and liquidity.

The launch of StablePair Hook marks an important step in adaptive market-making, linking fees to actual price fluctuations rather than a fixed model and giving governance agencies the ability to guide future updates.

Real-world asset tokenization and market outlook

At the same time, the rise of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is reshaping market access. As part of the transition to Web3, institutional and retail investors are deploying platforms to manage shares of leading U.S. companies, as well as gold and silver, directly from their crypto wallets. By tokenizing these assets and automatically obtaining the best available market price in seconds, these tools eliminate traditional intermediaries and increase the autonomy of market participants.

The Federal Reserve's interest rate decision scheduled for September 16 has attracted much attention as the next major macroeconomic event that may affect risk sentiment and UNI price movements. Market observers pointed out that a closing above $6.50 on the Uniswap daily will strengthen the case for a continued rebound, while a break below $6.10 will focus on lower support.
