Technical: The triangular pattern suggests a potential rise to US$3000
Technical analysis expert Ali Charts pointed out that Ethereum (ETH) has formed a triangular pattern on the 12-hour chart. Judging from historical data, this pattern has previously predicted a 31% increase, and the target price may point to $3000.
Funding: Spot ETFs attract huge amounts of capital
On September 11, the Ethereum Spot ETF attracted US$216.41 million in new funds, of which BlackRock's ETHA products exclusive US$148.82 million.
Breaking through key resistance levels
Ethereum has successfully broken through the key US$2300 - 2400 resistance range, which has now transformed into a potential support area.
Current market dynamics
Current MACD indicators show momentum is weakening, with ETH trading at around US$2478 and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading at 51.77. If the price falls below $2490, the next important support area will be at $2400.
Ethereum Price Outlook and Technical Analysis
Ethereum is currently trading at around $2478, and market observers are closely watching an emerging technology form that suggests prices are expected to climb to $3000. At the same time, market participants are closely following the Federal Reserve's policy meeting scheduled for September 15 - 16, as any decision on interest rates could have a significant impact on risky assets, including cryptocurrencies.
Historical reference to triangular breakthroughs
Technical analyst Ali Charts identified a triangular consolidation pattern on the Ethereum 12-hour chart. Historically, when similar triangular structures broke through, ETH experienced price increases of up to 31% in just 72 hours. Ali Charts said via platform X: "The last triangular breakthrough allowed Ethereum to soar 31% in three days. Now, another triangle is being formed. If $ETH breaks through again, a similar trend could push it up to $3000." It should be noted that this represents only a potential scenario, not a deterministic outcome.
Analyst Opinion: Target of US$3000
Another market analyst named Wealthmanager pointed out on September 13 that Ethereum has successfully penetrated its higher time frame of US$2300 - 2400 resistance range, while Bitcoin has not yet achieved a similar breakthrough at its corresponding US$82,000 - 83,000 resistance level. Wealthmanager predicts that ETH could hit $3000 before there is a possible correction to the $2300 area.
Strong institutional capital inflows to spot ETF
Ethereum-based traded open index funds (ETFs) witnessed significant net inflows totaling $216.41 million on September 11. BlackRock's ETHA products performed outstandingly, with single-day inflows reaching US$148.82 million. Bitwise's ETHW received $29.09 million, BlackRock's ETHB absorbed $18.32 million, and Fidelity's FETH contributed $11.4 million.
Grayscale's ETH product captured $5.09 million in new funding, and VanEck's ETHV increased $3.71 million. During this period, Grayscale's ETHE and Franklin's EZET reported zero new inflows. Cumulative historical inflows have now reached US$13.39 billion, and the net asset value under management (AUM) is US$16.31 billion, accounting for 5.28% of Ethereum's total market value. Daily trading volume reached US$2.56 billion on September 11.
Key Technical Indicators and Price Levels
Market analyst Daan Crypto Trades observed that ETH has tested back into its breakthrough area after its recent upward movement. He emphasized that the number of open interests in perpetual contracts has dropped, which may have eased the pressure on some leveraged positions in the market.
Ethereum is currently consolidating around the middle track of the Bollinger Band located at $2470. The upper track record was $2543, and the lower track track record was $2396. The MACD indicator shows that the main line is at 81.68, below the signal line of 99.69, and the histogram value is-18.01, indicating that bullish momentum is weakening.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading on the four-hour chart was 51.77, just above the neutral threshold of 50. If we can resolutely break through US$2550, the recent peak of US$2600 will become the next upward target again. If downward pressure intensifies, Ethereum's next major support base below current levels will remain firmly established at US$2400.
