The lower-ranked currencies fluctuated even more violently, with Uniswap rising by 13.34%, and NEAR rising by 16.00%.

XLM is at the lower end of the market with a 5.57% increase. This suggests that there is not a specific wave of demand for Stellar, but rather the result of simultaneous movement of the entire market. The trigger is seen as the Fed's interest rate decision: According to its September 16, 2026 statement, the Federal Open Market Committee raised the target range for the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% to 4.00%, the first rate increase since 2023. Once the resolution was announced and no further tightening was announced, the tensions that had previously suppressed prices dissipated.

This means for investors: If you interpret this as confirmation of Stellar's investment logic, you may be over-interpreting the data. The currency's rise is following the trend. The real new changes will be introduced in the next section and have nothing to do with price at first.

Before purchasing a device, check whether the manufacturer's application supports Stellar and the comment field, because without this field, you cannot send funds back to the exchange.

Holding periods and exemptions: How the tax authorities handle German XLM gains

In tax terms, German law treats XLM as another crypto asset, another asset in private disposal transactions within the scope of Article 23 of the Income Tax Act. If you sell within one year of buying, the proceeds are taxable and charged at your personal income tax rate. If there is more than one year between purchase and sale, proceeds are exempt from tax.

The total tax exemption of € 1,000 for all private disposal transactions in a calendar year. The word "threshold" here should be understood literally: anyone below this threshold pays nothing, and anyone above this threshold, even one euro, will be subject to tax the full amount, not just the excess.
