This amount accounts for less than 0.1% of Tesla's total market value, far below the current US$197 billion gap between Bitcoin and Tesla in asset rankings.

Tesla's latest document and September estimates are based on different time periods, which explains the difference between reported values and current values. Looking back at the company's Bitcoin strategy, Tesla purchased $1.5 billion worth of BTC in 2021, but regulatory reports show that by the end of 2022, the company had converted approximately 75% of its positions into fiat currency. In recent disclosures, open positions remained stable.

SpaceX, another company led by Elon Musk, is listed by BitcoinTreasuries as holding 18,712 bitcoins, bringing the combined attributed positions of Tesla and SpaceX to 30,221 bitcoins, or approximately $2.46 billion at quoted prices. These assets are held separately and the total does not reflect Musk's personal ownership.
