ADA Cadano's founder uses the 11th anniversary of Gemini to make another coin appeal.
Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano (token symbol ADA), continues to promote his long-term initiative to require cryptocurrency exchange Gemini to launch ADA trading pairs. This time, he chose to take advantage of the exchange's landmark anniversary to publicly express this demand.
Short response to anniversary posts
Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss recently posted a celebration message on the X platform to commemorate the exchange's 11th anniversary. In response, Hoskinson replied with two highly targeted words: "List ADA". Although the words are concise, behind these words are disputes that have not been resolved for many years.
Over the years, the range of assets supported by Gemini has continued to expand, and major proof-of-stake (PoS) cryptocurrencies including Solana, Avalanche, Polkadot, Cosmos and Tezos have been listed on the platform. However, ADA is not included.
According to Gemini's official listing policy, when evaluating new assets, the institute will comprehensively consider the maturity, liquidity, market demand, practicality, regulatory considerations, cybersecurity risks, and concentration of control rights and other factors. However, the exchange did not publicly explain the specific reasons for excluding ADA.
Dispute begins in 2022
这并非霍斯金森首次公开施压。早在2022年12月，当Gemini因加密借贷机构Genesis的困境而面临挑战时，霍斯金森曾表示，ADA未能上线与该机构的破产及鲁莽的风险管理行为“高度相关”。当时，FTX的崩盘也引发了广泛关注，因为该交易所同样从未推出过ADA现货交易市场。
在2025年接受《Blockchain Daily》采访时，霍斯金森的语气更为尖锐。他指出，Gemini是最后一家仍未排除ADA的美国主要交易所，并估算由于未能开启ADA交易，该平台可能在五年间损失了约7000万美元的收入。
自2022年以来，霍斯金森多次质疑Gemini关于ADA的政策，并在2024年和2025年再次提出这一问题。截至目前，Gemini尚未宣布任何上币政策的变更，也未确认添加ADA的计划。这种沉默继续令卡达诺社区感到沮丧，社区成员指出，ADA已是市场上最成熟的权益证明资产之一。
