The service specifically supports TRC-20 USDT, allowing the company to continue to use TRON as its primary payment network while leveraging Polygon's wallet infrastructure, cross-chain routing and fiat conversion services. Currently, the USDT volume circulating on the TRON network has exceeded US$94 billion, accounting for more than half of Tether's total supply on all supported blockchain networks.

Flexible wallet management and compliance support

Under the new integration, companies can assign customers permanently valid TRON deposit addresses that can be used for multiple transactions. When the USDT arrives at the designated address, OMS automatically identifies the customer, records the deposit, and makes the balance available for subsequent payments or transfers. Companies can use the same address to make duplicate deposits without having to generate a new wallet address for each transaction or develop a separate system to match incoming payments with customer accounts.

Wallet management provides two custody models:

• Custodial wallets: Private keys are managed by a licensed custodian and applicable authentication, screening and transaction monitoring procedures are incorporated into the payment process.
• Embedded Wallets: gives users control of their private keys and supports familiar authentication methods, eliminating the need for browser extensions or mnemonic prompts during the registration process.

Companies can choose to use individual services or use the entire payment system through one integration. If a company wants to keep existing wallet providers, compliance services, or accounting systems, these components can remain where they were.

Cross-chain payments are handled by Polygon Trails, a service responsible for routing USDT and other supported digital assets between TRON and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible networks. For example, businesses can receive USDT on TRON and deliver USDC to recipients through Ethereum or other supported network. Polygon said that this routing and conversion can be done in a single transaction, without the need for customers to directly interact with the blockchain bridge.

Take the example of money transfer companies, which can receive USDT from customers using TRON, route payments through the supported infrastructure, and deliver funds to the recipient in the form of another cryptocurrency or a local fiat withdrawal service. Payment instructions can be programmed to set the time and destination of funds to move. Customers who receive the payment can convert USDT into fiat currency and withdraw it to a bank account, card or supported cash withdrawal point.

announcement pointed out that the Philippines, Mexico, Argentina and Nigeria are key markets where remittance companies and financial technology platforms can apply this integration. In addition, the gig economy platform is also one of the target customer groups. Workers who receive USDT from exchanges can use fixed deposit addresses, while companies manage the payment and withdrawal process through OMS.

Highlights of trading data from TRON Network

Polygon cited TRON's existing stablecoin activity as a key reason for introducing it to OMS. Data shows that TRON maintains a large share of stablecoin transfers, especially in scenarios where customers use USDT for remittances, exchange withdrawals, and international payments.

According to Messari's data, TRON's second-quarter earnings report showed that in the second quarter of 2026, the total USDT transfers handled by the blockchain reached US$2.1 trillion. As of the end of June, USDT supply was US$87.9 billion, accounting for 98.5% of all stablecoins in circulation on TRON. The average daily USDT transfer volume reached US$22.8 billion, an increase of 4.3% from the previous quarter.

Polygon's Strategic Development and Future Planning

Polygon has been developing its payment infrastructure through acquisitions and integrations this year. In January, the company announced its acquisition of Coinme and wallet infrastructure provider Sequence for approximately $250 million, bringing regulated fiat services and cross-chain wallet technology to its payments business.

Subsequently, Polygon Labs reorganized in July to advance Coinme's integration efforts. CEO Marc Boiron said the company is committed to achieving profitability in 2027 and its business focus is increasingly shifting to blockchain payment services.

Since then, Open Money Stack has been used for transactions involving digital assets and traditional banking services. In September this year, Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal launched a crypto donation service to support disaster relief efforts in Nepal. The initiative utilizes OMS for cryptocurrency routing and conversion, and Coinme and Cross River Bank support the payment process. Blockchain for Impact is committed to donating US$100,000, and the service allows donors to contribute USDC before funds are converted to Nepal rupees.
