[TAG Sun Yuchen, founder of_0] Wave Field, announced: Post-quantum cryptography is running on the test network

Wave Field (Tron) founder Sun Yuchen recently announced that the network's post-quantum cryptography function has been officially run on the test network. This move marks that wavefield is taking proactive measures to protect blockchain assets from potential threats posed by the development of quantum computing.

Anti-quantum Project for Wave Fields

Sun Yuchen said in a social media update released on Saturday that wave field developers are paying close attention to the latest developments in quantum computing and artificial intelligence. He pointed out that if necessary, the wavefield is ready to deploy quantum-resistant solutions to the main network.

"We are committed to ensuring the security of user assets, and wavefield is expected to become one of the few mainstream blockchains with quantum-resistant capabilities before the arrival of 'Q-Day'." Sun Yuchen wrote. The so-called "Q-Day" refers to the expected milestone moment when quantum computers may exceed current security standards.

He added on Platform X (formerly Twitter):"We closely track the progress of quantum computing and artificial intelligence and are ready to bring anti-quantum capabilities to the mainnet."

The Wave Field Network founded by Sun Yuchen is a major blockchain platform focusing on decentralized applications and digital asset transactions. Its move towards backward quantum cryptography puts it at the forefront of addressing the risks of emerging technologies.

Industry-wide push for post-quantum security

As the industry pays increasing attention to the future capabilities of quantum computers, blockchain security experts are also strengthening research and development against quantum technology. Many worry that powerful quantum machines may eventually crack elliptic curve cryptography, the core foundation of cybersecurity architectures such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.

According to a recent report by CoinDesk, blockchain security company American Fortress has launched an encryption solution designed to protect digital wallets from future quantum attacks. The unique feature is that it retains existing wallet addresses, allowing for post-quantum protection without the need for users to transfer funds, rotate keys, or change wallet addresses.

American Fortress submits its technical proposals to the Cryptography ePrint Archive, an online repository for researchers to share papers on cryptography and information security, often used for pre-formal peer review exchanges. As of publication, the proposal had not yet been peer-reviewed.

Responses from major blockchain projects

Developers in the industry have accelerated the deployment of anti-quantum measures. Earlier this year, a coalition led by blockchain security company Strategy committed $15 million to support Bitcoin quantum security research. The Ethereum Foundation has put forward a proposal to help migrate accounts to quantum-resistant cryptography, while Algorand revealed plans to introduce quantum-resistant accounts by 2027.

This growing trend of attention reflects concerns that if advanced protection measures are not implemented in a timely manner, achieving quantum advantage may create serious vulnerabilities to the current cryptocurrency ecosystem.
