StarkWare CEO深入解读技术路线图
Starkware CEO Eli Ben-Sasson expressed important views on the future development of the project. He emphasized the security threat that quantum computing may pose to blockchain networks and argued that Starknet needs to have the lead over its own security architecture. Currently, as the Layer-2 network on Ethereum, if Starknet can be transformed into an independent Layer-1 blockchain, it will be able to build and upgrade its own security protection system independently from Ethereum's dependence. This transformation is of great significance to its long-term technological development.
According to Eli Ben-Sasson, Ethereum's plan to fully shift to anti-quantum structures is not expected to be completed until the end of 2029. If Starknet successfully transforms into an independent Layer-1 network, it will not have to wait for Ethereum's update rhythm, and can independently implement necessary security upgrades, and is expected to achieve full quantum-resistant capabilities in 2027. The Starkware team calls this independent Layer-1 model the "best open path" for the future.
Transformation plan has not yet been finalized
Despite the attractive prospects, the above transformation plan has not yet been formally finalized. The project party made it clear that the independent Layer-1 model is only a possible option for public discussion at this stage. As of now, the government has not submitted any governance proposals, nor has it made a final decision or announced a specific timetable. Therefore, there is still uncertainty whether this transformation can be implemented.
At the same time, with the sharp fluctuations in prices, the market trading volume also increased significantly, reflecting the high degree of activity at the capital level.
