The weekly net inflow of cryptocurrency investment products reached US$3.55 billion, setting a new high in 2026.
This week, cryptocurrency investment products recorded a weekly net inflow of US$3.55 billion, setting a record for 2026 so far. CoinShares, Europe's leading digital asset manager, said almost all of the inflows came from U.S. funds, reflecting renewed demand after weeks of sluggish activity.
The United States dominates global capital inflows
CoinShares reported that U.S. domestic products accounted for approximately US$3.434 billion of total global inflows, accounting for nearly 97%. Germany followed closely with inflows of US$73.9 million; Canada and Switzerland recorded inflows of US$21.8 million and US$20.9 million respectively. The vast majority of investment is concentrated in the United States, highlighting the importance of the activities of American institutions.
For the week ended September 29, the total assets under management of global digital asset investment products reached US$173 billion. Cumulative year-to-date inflows are US$8.6 billion.
Bitcoin and altcoins attract new capital
Bitcoin-related products performed strongly this week, attracting a net inflow of $2.52 billion. During this period, the flagship cryptocurrency rebounded from below $75,000 to above $83,000. Investment products focused on Ethereum-also received strong attention, adding $702 million in inflows. Solana-related products attracted $193 million, while XRP funds received $92.3 million.
CoinShares pointed out that given that almost all weekly net inflows are allocated to U.S. domestic products, this trend clearly shows that institutional interest has increased significantly after recent macroeconomic fluctuations. The company attributed the rebound to a return in investor confidence after two weeks of relatively quiet market activity. Investors have reportedly responded positively to reduced uncertainty about the Federal Reserve's monetary policy. On September 16, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points, with a target range of 3.75% to 4.00%.
Spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs continue to gain funding
U.S. -listed spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) continued to attract stable capital throughout the week. The spot Bitcoin ETF received US$2.39 billion in capital inflows, and the Ethereum ETF added US$690 million in capital. Both products recorded net inflows on each trading day throughout the week, although momentum slowed after Friday.
The following Monday, net traffic dropped sharply, with the Bitcoin ETF recording only $31 million in inflows and the Ethereum ETF accounting for $17 million. Despite the brief surge, broader market momentum faded as the market advanced midweek, especially when Bitcoin fell back to around $84,000 on September 23 after hitting $87,000.
Market analysts said that as investors pay close attention to the prospects of further interest rate hikes, rising U.S. Treasury yields and a strong U.S. dollar may continue to affect the inflows of cryptocurrency funds. As total assets under management rose to US$173 billion, several major cryptocurrency investment products experienced their busiest week of inflows to date in 2026, with Bitcoin and Ethereum leading the trend.
