Unexpected shutdown of XRP Healthcare: What's the problem?
XRP Healthcare has announced its official shutdown and initiated a coordinated removal process for XRPH and XRPHAI tokens. Nearly three years after trying to build a blockchain-based medical ecosystem, the company cited long-term sluggish market conditions and failure to successfully go public as the main reasons for the project's termination.
What were the factors that led to the sudden closure?
According to company management, a serious technological crisis was the decisive factor in the closure. Independent developers have pointed out security risks since the beginning of the project, but recent progress shows that these warnings have been largely ignored.
After September 3, financial pressure intensified sharply. The attackers emptied 4,011 XRPH wallets, causing approximately $452,000 in damage. This includes 267,664 XRPs and native tokens for the project. The technical review noted that the vulnerability did not stem from XRP Ledger infrastructure. As a distributed ledger network, XRP Ledger is mainly used to record XRP transactions.
Technical analysis shows that the security vulnerability does not originate from XRP Ledger itself, but directly from the application code. The problem is blamed on the code structure of the XRP Healthcare application, which has too low entropy of its mnemonic generation algorithm, allowing attackers to reconstruct the private key offline. In addition, other violations were discovered when decompilling the application, and the data showed that user mnemonic data had been transmitted over the network.
Are there flaws in the token model?
The team was criticized for its documentation and token model. Vet Goose publicly confirmed its refusal to grant funding applications, citing inaccurate cooperation statements. He pointed out that the platform never needed its own tokens and criticized the lack of professionalism in its wallet architecture. Vet Goose emphasized that health platforms do not need to issue their own tokens and described the wallet architecture as unprofessional.
Management expressed full trust in the developers it hired and admitted that it only learned of the mnemonic data transfer problem after the attack occurred. Although the team believed the harsh criticism of the Ripple Ecosystem was inappropriate, they did not provide a detailed defense of the technical allegations.
- Closures were mainly affected by severe technological crises and ignored security warnings.
- Due to the XRPH wallet being emptied, significant financial losses were caused.
- Criticism focuses on false claims of cooperation and unnecessary token development.
- Plan to permanently disconnect the XRPH Wallet application from the network.
The company views liquidation as inevitable and believes that it is not economically feasible to continue operating. The XRPH Wallet app will be permanently disconnected from the network and management is negotiating a withdrawal schedule with the cryptocurrency exchange. The details of the removal process will be decided by each platform, which means that withdrawal deadlines and asset withdrawal rules may vary from exchange to exchange.
