Single Platform: Integrating cryptocurrencies with traditional assets
Broadridge (NYSE: BR) has expanded its next-generation digital asset platform to the U.S. market. The platform provides a unified operating model for broker-dealers, registered investment advisers and wealth managers, allowing them to simultaneously offer cryptocurrencies, tokenized securities and traditional investment products.
Building on the foundation of this Canadian version launched in April 2026, Broadridge now enables broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, and wealth managers in the United States to integrate digital assets into their existing wealth management products through a unified operating model. This marks a natural next step in the company's business expansion.
The platform is supported by a growing ecosystem, with initial partners including Anchorage Digital and Galaxy. It supports cryptocurrencies and tokenized securities issued and served through emerging and existing market infrastructure. Broadridge's platform is designed to streamline processing processes across all aspects of transactions, custody, asset services, communication, governance and voting agents, helping financial institutions provide a more coherent customer experience throughout the investment life cycle.
DLX and a tokenization engine that processes US$351 billion per day
This expansion of the wealth management business relies on DLX, Broadridge's broader tokenization and digital asset infrastructure platform. DLX is a tokenization platform launched by Broadridge to help financial institutions conduct business throughout the entire life cycle of tokenized securities. The platform integrates solutions covering issuance, trading, financing, clearing and services, including its Distributed Ledger Repurchase (DLR) solution. It is said that DLR is the world's largest institutional platform used to settle tokenized physical assets, with an average daily tokenization value exceeding US$351 billion.
Building on Broadridge's existing DLR capabilities, which focus on collateral liquidity and securities financing, DLX expands Broadridge's tokenized infrastructure into a broader multi-asset platform that supports issuance, trading, settlement, services, custody, governance and distribution functions.
The platform initially has the ability to connect to DTCC (American Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation) tokenization services through the Canton network and other networks, and a wider range of application scenarios will be announced in the future.
Industry View
For Anchorage Digital, this move reflects a broader shift in the industry. Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder of Anchorage Digital, said: "Cryptocurrency is no longer a marginal topic in wealth management, but a core issue." He added that the company is pleased to provide institutional hosting and settlement services for Broadridge's platform.
Galaxy CEO Mike Novogratz expressed a similar view, saying Galaxy is happy to combine its digital asset market infrastructure with Broadridge's mature wealth management to serve financial institutions in the U.S. market.
