SOL DeFi Development Corp. increased its holdings of SOL, bringing the total treasury to 2.3889 million units.
DeFi Development Corp. announced on September 14 that it had purchased 55,491 SOL units, bringing the total number of SOL and equivalents in the company's treasury to 2,388,923 units. The company said the figure was about 2% higher than the holdings it reported on August 27.
The update also announced an At-The-Market (ATM) plan that would allow the company to sell CHAD preferred stock worth up to US$300 million in the future. DeFi Development Corp. said the shares are expected to sell at or above the $10 face value of CHAD. Therefore, the plan is not the first completed US$300 million funding, but it provides the company with a larger potential source of funding to support subsequent purchases of more SOL than simply relying on the latest holdings.
The size of the SOL treasury is close to 2.39 million tokens
According to the September 14 announcement, DeFi Development Corp.'s holdings are slightly less than 2.39 million SOL and their equivalents. In a statement released through GlobeNewswire, the company noted that the addition of 55,491 SOLs increased its total assets by approximately 2% from the total reported on August 27.
It is worth noting that this total includes SOL itself and SOL equivalents, not just directly held tokens. This distinction is crucial when interpreting this data because companies combine these two types of assets when calculating treasury totals.
