The closing debate on the CLARITY bill will be held tomorrow
The closing vote on the CLARITY bill will be held on September 15. Coinbase spoke through its official account, explaining the major interests involved in the bill. The post reminded followers that the vote is at stake in the lives of millions of Americans who use cryptocurrencies to invest, save and reduce costs.
Coinbase's message was concise and clear: "This is not a vote about politics. This is about the millions of Americans and business owners who use cryptocurrency to invest, save and reduce costs." The post concluded with a statement directly to the Senate: "Every senator needs to understand this."
The final debate vote on the CLARITY bill is tomorrow.
This is not a vote about politics. It concerns the millions of Americans and business owners who use cryptocurrencies to invest, save and reduce costs.
Every senator must know about this.

Call for Action
Coinbase subsequently released a reply directing followers to the Stand With Crypto Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting global crypto advocates. The response asked communities to contact their senators to promote a yes vote on the CLARITY bill.
Coinbase's social media promotion follows CEO Brian Armstrong's appearance on the CNBC show a few days ago. Armstrong said he believed the bill was ready for approval. Coinbase hopes to put public pressure on its community to gain enough support ahead of Tuesday's procedural vote. The procedural vote requires the consent of at least 60 senators to move the bill into full debate.
The Republican Party currently holds 53 seats, so at least seven Democrats must vote bipartisan before the bill can move forward. Seven to 10 Democrats have expressed support for the bill, and additional pressure from the community may help help the bill cross that threshold.
Community Response
After the post was posted, the encryption community responded quickly. Several users expressed their views on the impact of this vote on the industry. One commentator argued that opposing the bill would be opposing the best interests of all Americans. He pointed out that regardless of party, politicians should make decisions that are in the best interests of voters.
Another user pointed out that whether the bill is passed or not, there is an alternative (Plan B). Both the SEC and the CFTC have said they are willing to move forward with regulatory work regardless of the outcome.

What happens next?
