UNI CME Group launches Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures to further enrich the crypto derivatives matrix
CME Group plans to launch standardized and micro futures contracts for Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap, aiming to provide flexible and regulatory market exposure to customers around the world. Institutional demand for a broader range of risk management tools has driven the expansion, with executives emphasizing the importance to customers of reliable clearing services and round-the-clock access to derivatives.
data shows that the average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency futures in 2026 will reach 279,800 contracts, while the total nominal transaction volume generated by emerging altcoin products during the year exceeds US$1 billion.
Product Specifications and Listing Arrangements
CME Group will officially launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures on October 19 to expand its cryptocurrency derivatives portfolio. According to an official announcement, these two products will provide both standard contracts and micro contracts after passing necessary regulatory reviews.
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH): Standard contracts represent 250 BCH, while micro contracts provide smaller exposures through units of 25 BCH.
- Uniswap (UNI): Standard contracts cover 10,000 UNIs, and each micro contract represents positions in 1,000 UNIs.
