XRP Ledger's transaction volume increased significantly in the first half of 2026, and institutional tokenized settlement accelerated
XRP Ledger (XRPL) recorded 460.4 million transactions in the first half of 2026. This data provides an important background for the expanding tokenized settlement scenarios and broader institutional financial activities. At the same time, the ACI Connetic platform will support payment processing through Swift ledgers, allowing banks to seamlessly integrate tokenized deposits while retaining traditional banking processes, control mechanisms and system architecture.
Although some analysts have linked Ripple and XRPL activity to the XRP price target of reaching US$10,000, current underlying infrastructure data is not enough to support this valuation expectation. As major banks connect tokenized settlements with payment infrastructure, XRP Ledger's activities are receiving increasing attention. New digital payment channels are expanding, and SWIFT is adding blockchain-based settlement capabilities to its global bank customers.
ACI deeply integrates tokenized payments with SWIFT infrastructure
Relevant analytical views closely link the activities of Ripple, XRP Ledger and SWIFT's evolving settlement infrastructure, and portray a trend that challenges SWIFT's dominance, even citing the claim that XRP price reaches US$10,000. However, ACI's announcement actually describes support for SWIFT's blockchain-based ledger and tokenized payment processes.
ACI Worldwide announced that its ACI Connetic platform will directly support payments orchestrated through Swift ledgers. Banks can process tokenized deposits in addition to traditional payment types through existing banking control systems. The company said banks can manage these capital flows within a unified operating framework.
SWIFT will put its blockchain ledger into initial use in July 2026. Currently, 17 banks from six continents are preparing to pilot real-time transactions on a global scale. The first application scenario aims to leverage tokenized deposits to achieve 24/7 cross-border payments in the global market.
The core role of ACI is to provide payment routing, monitoring, control and reconciliation services. Its platform can route tokenized deposit payments with banks 'existing payment processes. This setup allows banks to efficiently process multiple types of payments on one platform.
XRP Ledger's transaction volume exceeded 460 million in the first half of the year.
Banx Network data shows that XRP Ledger recorded a total of 460.4 million transactions in the first half of 2026. Among them, there were 238 million transactions in the first quarter and 222.4 million transactions in the second quarter. These data indicate that the ledger overall showed significant levels of activity in the first two quarters.
It should be noted that the number of transactions only reflects network activity and does not directly reveal the total amount of economic value transferred, nor can it be clearly distinguished how much of them involves specific institutional settlement activities. Therefore, the total transaction volume cannot be directly used as a basis for extrapolating the valuation level of XRP. However, reported transaction log data provides background for growing global blockchain settlement activity, showing two consecutive quarters of continued use in the recent past, which is also consistent with the growing interest in tokenized financial infrastructure around the world.
Banx Network also reported that the size of tokenized assets in the second quarter was approximately US$3.72 billion. This figure is more than double that of the previous quarter and an increase of more than 30 times compared with comparable data for the same period last year.
XRP prices remain independent of infrastructure growth
As of September 28, according to CoinGecko data, XRP was trading at approximately US$1.48, and current 24-hour trading volume is approximately US$3.07 billion. Despite the decline on the day, its performance on the seventh day remained positive.
Current market prices are far from the US$10,000 target cited by analysts. Going from $1.48 to $10,000 requires a huge multiple growth, and the infrastructure development results mentioned do not provide a proven basis for this valuation. Current substantive progress focuses on interoperability between established payment systems around the world.
While adding blockchain infrastructure, SWIFT has not abandoned its existing global network. ACI is committed to integrating these new processes into existing banking operating systems. In addition, ACI stated that it supports approximately 9% of global SWIFT traffic and mentioned distributed ledger technology (including Ripple) as one of the supported technologies in its materials. This shows technical compatibility, but does not mean Ripple is replacing SWIFT.
