Seoul, South Korea, October 4, 2026

Tria's self-managed new financial platform officially opened Tria Gacha's private beta access today. Tria Gacha is a new collectibles experience feature that is integrated directly into the Tria app, allowing users to open card packages containing real-rated trading cards, retain drawn cards, and instantly repurchase or redeem physical card delivery. The release comes during Korea Blockchain Week, bringing Pokémon, One Piece and sports cards, supporting instant repurchase, physical redemption, up to 6% cash rebates and a leaderboard competition that includes 3 exclusive packages and 8 card packs.

Integrating cultural assets into daily financial scenarios

Gacha is the first step in Tria's broader strategy to bring culturally relevant assets into the same environment that users already use for consumption and money management. "Collectors are never just playing games. These are assets that people rate, price, trade and hold, and we want to bring these behaviors into the same place where people manage money without losing the fun of collecting." Vijit Katta, CEO and co-founder of Tria, said,"Trading cards are just the first step. Culture is a larger asset class than the traditional financial industry recognizes."

Native Experience: Discovery, Collection, Mobility and Ownership

The development of Gacha stems from Tria's observation of user behavior: users spend significant amounts on Gacha and collectibles outside of the app, and frequently hit the high cash rebate spending limit of Tria's credit card. Tria integrates the activity directly into its product rather than treating it as an independent financial experience.

  • High rebate: Use a Tria card to purchase eligible Gacha card packs, and you can get a cash rebate of up to 6% based on your membership level, and will not be included in the credit card's high rebate limit. Gacha purchases enjoy the basic member rebate rate; other bonuses are not applicable.
  • Physical correspondence: Each Gacha draw corresponds to a real rated collectibles card. Users can save cards in the Tria Collection, sell drawn cards directly through products, or redeem eligible cards for physical delivery, creating a native experience that covers discovery, collection, mobility and ownership.

Details of the 14-day leaderboard competition

To celebrate the private launch, Tria also launched a 14-day Gacha leaderboard competition, starting on October 4. The top 10 participants will have the opportunity to win 3 exclusive packaging boxes and 8 card packs. The in-app countdown displays the exact end time.

  • Eligibility: Only Tria users who have access to Gacha can participate. The ranking is determined by the total dollar value of eligible Gacha card pack purchases during the competition, which is displayed as "Open Card Pack ($)" in the app.
  • Scoring rules: All types of Gacha card packs are counted in the rankings, whether purchased through cards or wallets. Participants can view their position on the dynamic leaderboard in real time during the event as more queuing users gain access. The value or rarity of the card revealed does not affect the leaderboard ranking.
  • Invitation mechanism: Recommend friends can help users increase Gacha queuing priority and gain access earlier, but queuing position and leaderboard ranking are separate: recommendations affect access rights, and eligible card package purchases determine competition ranking.

Cultural extension beyond traditional finance

This release marks Tria's expansion from traditional financial assets and daily consumption to a cultural category with an active collection community, a mature rating system and a deep secondary market. Trading cards are the first category in this strategy. On the eve of South Korea's Blockchain Week, Tria warmed up the release with a mysterious queuing campaign, concealing product categories and releasing clues on social media channels. Today's announcement allows the first batch of queuing users to experience Gacha in the Tria app.
