Samsung's USDC promotion plan has become the focus of Solana's news, targeting 82 million U.S. devices. Samsung Wallet users in the United States will receive cross-border USDC transfer capabilities in late October. Prior to the launch of the USDC service in October 2026, Samsung had not disclosed the transfer fee.
According to the latest Solana news reports, Samsung will use the Solana blockchain to introduce the USDC cross-border transfer function in Samsung Wallet, which will be launched in late October 2026. According to Solana's announcement, U.S. users will gain access in the last week of October 2026. The feature will cover 82 million Galaxy devices when released and run within existing Wallet apps.
For users who send money overseas, the service will share the interfaces already used for bank cards, boarding passes and ID cards. The integrated conversion service will transfer funds between digital dollars and local currencies. However, Samsung did not disclose the transfer fee, so the cost of using the service remains unknown.

According to the latest Solana news announcement, Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay will support stablecoins on Solana, and cross-border remittance will be its initial use case. The announcement specifically pointed out that the launch of USDC transfers in the United States will take place within Samsung Wallet. Other markets will follow, although expansion depends on local regulatory requirements.
Users can reportedly access the service through the updated Wallet app without having to download a separate app or fund an exchange account.

Solana will provide the underlying blockchain infrastructure for transfers. The announcement describes an integrated fiat currency entry and exit service that converts funds into and out of local currency.
Woncheol Chai, Samsung's executive vice president and head of the digital wallet team, said the company wants to simplify access to stablecoins. He elaborated on the goal on Solana News, which is to help Galaxy users avoid the complexities associated with traditional cryptocurrency tools. In addition, Lily Liu, president of the Solana Foundation, pointed out that mainstream distribution has been a long-term challenge for stablecoins.
Solana News: Transfer fees have not been disclosed before release
This promotion in Solana News is carried out against the backdrop of a gap between international transfer costs and United Nations goals. World Bank data cited in the announcement showed that the average cost of sending US$200 overseas was 6.36%. The United Nations target is 3%, and Samsung's planned pricing has not yet been announced.
This prevented users from comparing fixed-fee numbers to global benchmarks before the October launch. The announcement outlined how funds would flow through Samsung Wallet, but did not provide a corresponding transfer price. The scope of its announced release covers U.S. Galaxy devices, with subsequent geographical expansion subject to regulatory constraints.
Samsung disclosed the stablecoin information in its wallet at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in London earlier this year. The example screen shows the USDC balance, but Samsung does not provide a release date, publisher details or blockchain options.
