Wyoming adopts Chainlink reserve certificate for state-issued stablecoins

Wyoming, the United States, announced that its stablecoins issued by its state-issued "Frontier stablecoins (FRNT)" integrate near-real-time on-chain reserve verification functions. This update is part of a deepening cooperation between the Wyoming Stability Tokens Council and the blockchain oracle network Chainlink.

New On-Chain Reserve Verification

Wyoming Stability Tokens Commission officials confirmed on Wednesday that Chainlink's Reserve Proof Technology will now publish independently verified FRNT reserve and token supply data directly on the chain. Reserve data is reviewed by The Network Firm and delivered to Chainlink, providing transparency and near real-time updates to holders and regulators.

At the same time, the committee is advancing the implementation of Chainlink's safety casting function. The mechanism ensures that new FRNT tokens can only be minted when reserves meet or exceed total supply, aiming to maintain currency stability and protect investor confidence.

Chainlink Proof of Reserves is a service that automatically and on-chain verifies asset mortgages or endorsements by connecting independent audit reports to smart contracts in real time.

FRNT stablecoin background and updates

FRNT was launched by Wyoming in January and is fully backed by the U.S. dollar and short-term U.S. Treasury bonds. Interest generated from these reserves is allocated to the Wyoming School Foundation Program to support the state's public education. Wyoming is regarded as a leader in cryptocurrency regulation in the United States, and the launch of its FRNT stablecoin has attracted industry attention.

Two weeks ago, FRNT migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). CCIP is now responsible for cross-chain communication for FRNT, allowing it to interoperate with other networks. Comparison before and after integration: Previously, reserve verification was carried out manually/regularly, but now near-real-time on-chain verification is realized through Chainlink; cross-chain infrastructure has been switched from LayerZero to CCIP; casting control has been upgraded from standard process to safe casting, ensuring that only when reserves are sufficient New tokens can be issued.

Chainlink's financial expansion

Chainlink, as a leading provider of decentralized oracle services, has gained momentum through a series of recent collaborations. The company's technology now supports tokenized stocks, stablecoin settlement and financial market infrastructure integration, expanding its role beyond the cryptocurrency industry.

In August, Chainlink became a pricing data provider for Coinbase's Base network-based B20 tokenized stocks. Its data sources now provide valuations for popular stocks such as Apple, Nvidia, Meta and Alphabet, allowing decentralized financial protocols to use these tokens as collateral or for transactions and loans.

In June, Chainlink joined major banking groups in Europe and South Korea in Project Pangea, which is testing regulated euro and won denominated stablecoins for atomic foreign exchange settlement. This highlights Chainlink's efforts to connect traditional finance and blockchain technology.

Chainlink's partners also include the American Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which is preparing to use its infrastructure for round-the-clock tokenized collateral management. In addition, Fidelity International partnered with Sygnum to launch a tokenized liquidity fund using Chainlink, while JPMorgan Chase provides daily net asset value data.

As Chainlink continues to expand in cryptocurrency native markets and traditional financial markets, it has integrated with Coinbase, Fidelity International, DTCC and other institutions, committed to promoting real-time transparency and cross-industry interoperability.

LINK token market performance

Chainlink's native token LINK has risen more than 34% in the past month. On Wednesday, LINK traded at approximately $11.07, according to CoinGecko data. Analysts pointed to Chainlink's recent technical and institutional cooperation as possible drivers of this growth.
