Pons Token launches on Upbit today: Soaring prices, Launchpad mechanisms and potential risks
Upbit will officially open trading of Pons tokens at 14:00 Korean time on October 8, 2026. This move will allow Robinhood Chain Launchpad's token to directly connect to Korean won, Bitcoin (BTC) and TEDA (USDT) trading pairs.
When Upbit launched Pons this time, the price of PONS fluctuated around US$0.42, and the 24-hour trading volume rose by more than 80%. As one of the most popular items on the new token list in October 2026, the details and price trends in the announcement are also worthy of attention.
Upbit Pons launch details: trading pairs, times and guidelines
According to the official notice released by the exchange at 11:37 on October 8, the launch of Pons on Upbit covers three markets:
Markets: KRW, BTC and USDT- Network: Only Robinhood Chain
- Deposit and withdrawal: Open within 90 minutes after the notice is issued
- Start trading: 14:00 Korean time
Two conditions are particularly critical. First of all, transfers from any other network are not supported, so depositors must choose the right network. Second, Upbit said that if liquidity appears to be insufficient after the transfer is opened, transactions may be delayed. This means that 14:00 is a target time, not an absolute commitment.
The launch of Upbit's new token is not the first time PONS has unveiled. The token initially appeared in decentralized pools and quickly expanded to centralized platforms:
- Early launch (July to August):LBank, Poloniex, MEXC, BTSE, BingX, Gate.io, KuCoin and Bitrue
- Add later: Binance Alpha, OKX, Bybit, HTX, Bitget, XT.com, Toobit and Kraken
- Coinbase: Full spot trading is available from October 7
Therefore, Upbit provides a Korean won entry for an already widely available token.
Pons Token Price Today: Soaring, Surging Trading Volume and Market Value Data
Pons Price rose more than 4% today, while the overall cryptocurrency market fell 1.48%, with Bitcoin falling to US$82,800 (-1.50%).
CoinMarketCap data on October 8 shows the following:
Price: $0.4297, up 4.8% in 24 hours - Market value: $292.01 million, up 4.77%
- 24-hour trading volume: $102.22 million, up 80.88%
- Fully diluted valuation (FDV):$292.01 million

- Circulation supply: 679.49 million PONSC
- Number of holders: 101.13 million
The price trend of Pons is not smooth. The chart shows it fell to about $0.375 overnight, and then jumped to around $0.43 in the morning. Daily trading volume currently accounts for about one-third of market value, and this turnover rate usually brings sharp fluctuations during launch.
Operation mechanism of Pons Launchpad on Robinhood Chain: Convert fees into token destruction
According to official documents, the Pons family is an unmanaged Launchpad on Robinhood Chain. Robinhood Chain is an Arbitrum Orbit Layer-2 network that will open its public main network on July 1, 2026. Pons Labs runs the project, but it is not an official Robinhood product. Creators can minte a fixed supply of tokens through one transaction without code or review.
The current V2 design allows each token to start through a binding curve and then transfer into a locked Uniswap V4 pool.
The fee mechanism drives the value proposition of Pons tokens:
- Start-up fee: 0.0005 ETH plus gas fee
- Transaction fee: is usually 1%, of which 70% goes to the creator and 30% goes to the agreement
- Repurchase: About 80% of the agreement share was used to purchase PONS, which was subsequently destroyed
- Destruction progress: About 32% of the original billion supply has been destroyed
Tokens launched on the platform do not mean exposure to PONS itself.
Pons Crypto News: Key Risks and Future Outlook Behind the Launch
Pons 'news focus is also on events. The report shows that hundreds of thousands of start-ups and billions of cumulative transactions have been achieved through the gradual opening of the pool, which has provided impetus for the fee revenue behind the destruction. However, such a large transaction volume does not prove lasting demand. Most of the crypto tokens launched on the platform are short-lived. While locked in liquidity prevents a type of "withdrawal" scam, creator sell-offs, contract flaws and sudden price drops still exist.
Before transferring funds, traders should check the following four points:
- Contract: 0x39dBED3a 2bd 33467115dE45665cC57F813C4571, confirmed on the browser
- Liquidity: Order book depth after trade opening
- Position size: Amount of funds that can withstand full losses
Upbit's order book will now test whether Korean won demand can absorb the destruction-driven supply story carried by Pons tokens. If there is a delay, lack of depth, or decline in trading volume, the situation will soon emerge.
