FollowingCircle launches the Arc chain: It has a deep institutional background, but it was taken over by Meme on the first day.
On September 16, Circle officially launched the Arc blockchain. With its deep institutional pedigree, this new chain has few rivals among the emerging blockchains. Its star-studded list of founding verifiers includes BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, DTCC and ICE. Jeremy Allaire, CEO of Circle, defines Arc as a universal economic operating system designed to serve payments, tokenized financial markets, and AI proxy commerce.
The network uses $USDC as a Gas fee and is specifically designed to meet the second-level settlement needs of institutional users. However, in just a few hours after the main network was launched, retail traders showed completely different intentions.
Launchpad dominates the first day of trading
According to online data on Dune,@arc recorded US$410.8 million in total decentralized exchange (DEX) transaction volume and 7.76 million transactions on its first main-network day. Among them, Meme coin Launchpad drove approximately 82% of activity and generated US$336.26 million in transaction volume.
@Arguspad led the way with a huge advantage, handling US$202.35 million in transaction volume alone. Closely followed by Minara.fun, with a turnover of $36.41 million; Tollyabs, with $19.65 million. According to BeInCrypto, the event involved a total of 19 Launchpads, but after the top five platforms, transaction volume shrank sharply.
