Strategy firm stays put, Strive continues to increase its holdings in Bitcoin

The world's largest holder of Bitcoin made a slightly unexpected BTC acquisition at the beginning of the month, but has remained silent since then. In contrast, Strive, led by Matt Cole, continued to accumulate assets, adding an additional 469 bitcoins to its inventory.

Strategy's current position

Michael Saylor pointed out on platform X a few minutes ago that his company's cryptocurrency inventory is still 845,050, with an average acquisition cost of US$75,412 per unit. Over the past six years, the company has spent just over $63.7 billion building this wealth, and the current value is about $2 billion higher than then.

Despite this, Strategy has made only one purchase in the past three months, and the deal was announced on September 1. At the time, the company purchased 4,603 BTC units for US$370 million after selling them at a lower price. Instead, the company continued to buy back STRC shares, investing another $139 million. Affected by this, its US dollar reserves fell slightly to US$6.4 billion. The price of STRC has rebounded sharply since its low a few months ago, when it fell to $75, and is now stabilizing above $98.5.

Strive's aggressive expansion

In sharp contrast to Strategy, Strive made Bitcoin purchases in the past week. CEO Matt Cole said on X that the company purchased 469 BTC units for US$36.6 million at an average price close to the current market price. Its total position has been rounded up to 25,000 bitcoins.

All the funds raised came from SATA, which currently has more than US$1 billion in nominal outstanding debt. Strive acquired an additional 469 BTC at an average cost of US$77,954 per Bitcoin, bringing the total position to 25,000. 100% of the funds raised came from SATA, whose nominal outstanding amount now exceeds US$1 billion. In addition, the company increased its leverage amplification ratio to 53.5%.
