At a summit in Scotland, King Charles III warned the heads of the world's largest artificial intelligence companies that they must find ways to ensure that the technology remains in human control. The king pointed out that developers of today's technology worry that it may develop "darker abilities" and even be used to kill people.
What is Charles III's statement on artificial intelligence?
Charles III delivered a speech at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire. The conference was organized by the Ditchley Foundation and attracted about 30 executives, officials and researchers, including British Minister of Artificial Intelligence Kanishka Narayen, Nvidia CEO Huang Renxun, DeepMind co-founder Jamis Hassabis, OpenAI Treasurer Sarah Friel, and Anthropic Global Affairs Head Tino Quillar.
According to a private guest list obtained by Bloomberg, participants also included MI6 Director Bryce Metreveli, writer Yuval Noah Harali, and Tsinghua University Xue Lan and other well-known figures.
77-year-old King Charles only delivered a speech for about 20 minutes before leaving the venue, hoping to leave space for fruitful communication among participants. He said people who value the core of human morality are "anxiously seeking your reassurance that we will not lose control of our destiny or even our soul."

弗里尔表示，技术日益强大的力量引发了关于如何使其服务于人类的疑问，并指出“没有任何一家公司或政府能独自完成这一使命。”
