XRP analyst Zach Rector predicts: Exchange inflows needed to achieve different price targets by the end of 2026

XRP analyst Zach Rector estimates the market capital inflows needed for XRP to reach US$5, US$10 and US$20 respectively by the end of 2026. His latest chart posted on social platform X compares four different "capital inflow versus price" hypothetical models and shows how capital requirements change under different scenarios.

Recter postscript when releasing the chart: "Let's see how much capital inflows are needed to get XRP to $5,$10 and $20 respectively. As for the $100 goal, just multiply the $10 hypothetical figure by 10."

This chart is based on the total net inflow of centralized exchanges and applies three multiplier assumptions of 50 times, 100 times, 200 times and 500 times, corresponding to the three XRP price targets mentioned above.

Billions of dollars in inflows are needed to achieve the US$10 target

For the scenario where XRP prices reach US$5, Recter's chart estimates show that the market needs net exchange inflows ranging from US$443 million to US$4.4 billion, depending on the multiplier chosen. Among them, the 500-fold assumption yields the lowest value of US$443 million, while the 200-fold, 100-fold and 50-fold assumptions correspond to US$1.1 billion, US$2.2 billion and US$4.4 billion respectively.

In the scenario where the XRP price reaches $10, the inflow required increases significantly. The chart shows that demand is US$1.1 billion under the 500-fold assumption, US$2.7 billion under the 200-fold assumption, US$5.4 billion under the 100-fold assumption, and as high as US$10.7 billion under the 50-fold assumption.

This graph highlights the $10 price target and labels these numbers as the total net centralized exchange inflows required to end 2026.

Higher price targets mean greater capital needs

Recter also calculated the potential inflow required for the XRP price to reach US$20. Chart data shows that it is US$2.3 billion under the 500-fold assumption, US$5.8 billion under the 200-fold assumption, US$11.7 billion under the 100-fold assumption, and US$23.4 billion under the 50-fold assumption.

He further pointed out that if investors want to get XRP to $100, they only need to multiply their $10 hypothetical figure by 10. According to this calculation logic, the inflow required for the $100 target will far exceed the value under the $10 scenario.

However, it must be emphasized that this multiplier relationship is only an assumption and is not a fixed and inevitable connection between capital inflows and XRP market prices. Factors such as liquidity, selling pressure, depth of order books and the number of XRPs available at different price levels will affect the market's response to new funds.

Commentators question the multiplier hypothesis

Regarding Recter's estimates, many netizens expressed their views. "To be honest, if XRP does go up to $10, it will completely change my life," Hannes said. Looking Glass 1776 attributes potential price limits to what they call market manipulation and deliberate price reductions.

Kevin Walsh posed a more direct challenge to Rector's calculations. He believes that the multiplier hypothesis lacks empirical support and points out that using the 500-times hypothesis to infer a $1.1 billion inflow of funds would push XRP to $10, which is actually using the target to push back the required multiplier.

Walsh instead emphasized that liquidity, selling power and order book depth are the main factors determining actual price fluctuations. His comments questioned whether the fixed multiplier could accurately measure the relationship between new exchange inflows and XRP market prices.

To sum up, Rector's chart lists several possible funding needs for XRP to achieve higher price targets, but the final result will vary significantly depending on the multiplier applied.
