SOL The three major altcoins may fall further, as analysts warn of intensifying downside risks.
The cryptocurrency market has been hit hard after Monday's fake breakout rally. Bitcoin (BTC) and almost all altcoins tried to break through resistance, but were forcibly contained. However, analyst Ali Martinez believes that the short-term prospects of three of the main altcoins are quite bleak, and he predicts there will be more downside room in the future.
Will LINK, ADA, SOL fall deeper?
The analyst, who has more than 168,000 X (formerly Twitter) followers, first analyzed Chainlink's LINK token, noting that the token "appears to be falling below the neckline of the head-and-shoulder pattern on the four-hour chart." Martinez said that if assets fail to regain the resistance level of $13.56, the next downside target will be $12.39; if the sell-off continues, it will drop further to $11.98.
LINK's market landscape is particularly interesting because it previously surged to nearly $16 and subsequently experienced profit-taking. On-chain data shows that GSR has transferred two large tokens to the exchange and may be selling off the asset worth more than $8.2 million. In addition, Sanitation pointed out that LINK has surged 24% in the past few weeks, but growth in online activity and new wallets has lagged behind actual price increases. Similar signs suggest that this round of rally is not sustainable.
