Umia launches an online auction of $UMIA, and the token will be launched on its platform (August 26)

New York, New York, August 26, 2026- Umia is a full-stack platform used to launch, build and manage projects on the chain. Its fund pool is in an un-custodial form and the board of directors decides to price through market.

Umia, a new EVM-based entrepreneurship creation platform, has opened an auction of its native token $UMIA, which is the first token launched on the platform. The early bidding window is now open, and the open round will be open to all users from August 29 to September 2, and will be held on the Base chain.

The platform's main goal is to build a framework that makes tokens a true financial primitive: in many crypto projects, equity directly controls income and intellectual property, while tokens are not clearly associated with either along the chain. Instead, every project launched through Umia (including Umia itself) is built as a subsidiary of an independent Cayman Islands portfolio company, based on the MetaLex BORG framework. This allows intellectual property, operations teams and funding pools to be unified under one structure, eliminating the need to establish foundations, DAOs or laboratory spinoffs.$ UMIA is the first token issued by the platform; its capital pool and governance are run through a decision-making market.

In the decision-making market, board-level choices are made through pricing rather than voting: the market estimates the value of the project under each option, and the proposal will be implemented only if the market believes that the value of the project after adopting the proposal is higher than if it is not adopted. Markets can also be multiple options, such as weighing which chains to deploy to or which budget to use.$ Funds from UMIA auctions flow directly into non-custodial funds governed by these markets.

This auction uses Umia's native auction protocol, which is based on Uniswap's continuous clearing auction design. Bidders submit budgets and maximum prices; all bidders who close a deal at a certain moment pay the same price, and unused budgets will be refunded. The early bidding window is filtered through the zkTLS qualification certificate generated by the Umia browser extension, and is limited to on-chain builders, capital allocators and future traders. After the early bidding window ends, the open round is open to all users. The auction is priced in USDC and supports bank card recharge through Privy. Trading starts at the end of the auction and the liquidity held by the agreement is provided on Uniswap v4.

The total supply of $UMIA is 50 million pieces. Among them, 40 million are allocated at start-up, and the remaining 10 million are used as performance reserves and are only unlocked when milestones are reached. From the first day, 61% of the 40 million pieces entered circulation. This includes 17.3 million tokens sold in customized auctions (without lockup periods), as well as negotiated funds pools, liquidity and incentive allocations. The remaining portion allocated to supporters (10.15 million pieces), service providers (3 million pieces) and teams (2.5 million pieces) will be gradually unlocked over a 36-month period after a 12-month lockdown period.

Francesco Mostets, CEO of Umia, said: "Serious entrepreneurial projects have never had a framework to issue tokens consistent with their projects. Through Umia, we form a single system of legal structures, capital pools, and governance markets, and we first place our own tokens in this system."

The first external projects are expected to be launched through Umia in September, subject to completion of the occupancy process and legal review.
