On September 5, Bitcoin experienced a 1.49%"kimchi premium" in South Korea
As of 12:00 a.m. on September 5 (Korean Standard Time), the trading price of Bitcoin (BTC) on the Upbit Exchange in South Korea was 10.79 million won, down 2.73% from the previous day. On the global exchange Binance, the price of BTC is 10.631 million won, with a spread of 1.59 million won, showing a "kimchi premium" of 1.49%.
Ethereum (ETH), a representative of mainstream altcoins, also experienced a "kimchi premium" of 1.61%. Other major altcoins also trade at a premium, with Solana (SOL) premium rate of 1.56%, XRP of 1.62%, Dogecoin (DOGE) of 1.47%, and Sui (SUI) of 1.57%. Currently, the "kimchi premium" of most major altcoins is concentrated in the range of 1.4% to 1.6%.
