Pump.fun repurchase efforts weaken: Daily revenue fell to US$1.59 million, down 16% from its October 5 high.
Capital inflows into the repurchase mechanism that supported Pump.fun (PUMP) token prices in October are declining. Revenue from the agreement provided half of the funding for the repurchase, with daily revenue of $1,585,235 on October 9, compared with $1,887,798 on October 5. It fell by 16.0% in just four days, and October 5 also marked a weekly high for prices. As of Saturday morning, PUMP was trading at $0.005426, at the lower edge of the week's price range.
If you hold PUMP or are considering buying, this means that support below the price is not a promise, but depends on business data. As revenue falls, the number of tokens purchased and destroyed from the market each day will decrease accordingly. This article analyzes the two side by side, lists the levels that have been recorded and illustrates key indicators that German investors can verify during the process.
Detailed explanation of agreement revenue and repurchase mechanism
Agreement revenue refers to the income earned by blockchain applications from user fees, the remaining portion after deducting the portion paid to third parties. On Pump.fun, revenue is generated when users launch and trade new tokens on the platform.
Daily data from October 1 to 9 shows a clear trajectory. It was US$1,748,972 on October 1, US$1,712,663 on October 2, and US$1,711,103 on October 3. It then rebounded: $1,780,189 on October 4, reaching a weekly peak of $1,887,798 on October 5, and $1,852,307 on October 6. It began to decline since then, with $1,720,253 on October 7,$1,631,179 on October 8, and $1,585,235 on October 9.
The total revenue for these seven days was US$12.17 million, and the cumulative amount for thirty days was US$40.52 million. Since its launch, the platform's cumulative revenue has reached US$1.158 billion. These data are based on Pump.fun protocol revenue data provided by DefiLlama.
One detail needs to be noted here, as the circulated summary data quotes higher values, such as US$18.6 million for a week and US$60.7 million for thirty days. Our own statistics are US$12.17 million and US$40.52 million. Instead of smoothing out the difference, we listed two ranges: Weekly income ranged from $12.2 million to $18.6 million, depending on the statistical method. Which income types are included determine the final result, and anyone making a valuation based on this should be clear about which data they are using.
Repurchase and destruction: How to withdraw PUMP from circulation with 50% of net income
Repurchase means that the project party uses its own income to purchase its tokens on the open market. Destruction completely eliminates the tokens by sending them to an address where anyone can no longer move them. Together, these two reduce the total amount of tokens that can be traded.
Pump.fun announced the plan on the X platform through its official account @Pumpfun on April 28, 2026. The post mentioned that after approximately US$370 million in tokens have been destroyed, a programmatic repurchase and destruction program that accounts for 50% of revenue will be implemented in the next year. The Block and FXStreet also independently reported on the same move on April 28 and 29, 2026, and described the deadline as one year, until April 2027.
What revenue flows into the repurchase pool:
It is reported that the platform's revenue comes from three sources: the bonding curve at the time of new token issuance, PumpSwap, the platform's own trading venue, and Terminal products. The binding curve is a fixed formula that automatically increases the price of a new token with each purchase. The other half of the revenue remains in the company's hands and is used for operations, staff salaries and product development.
Applying 50% to our measured revenue, purchasing power over the past seven days was approximately US$6.08 million and thirty days was approximately US$20.26 million. This is based on calculations based on revenue data rather than confirmation of individual purchases by the company.
Maximum supply gap: There are still 171.08 billion PUMPs not in circulation
The maximum supply is the upper limit for the existence of tokens under the project rules. For PUMP, this upper limit is one trillion pieces. The current total supply is approximately 828.92 billion pieces, of which 463.41 billion pieces are freely circulated.
This figure is for reference only and not for company valuation. It assumes that the current thirty days represent a full year, which is a strong assumption for a platform built on Newly Launched Tokens: October will perform better than September, while in the business of short-life tokens, one month can hardly predict the next month's performance. As a measure on a timescale, it is still useful because it can be recalculated monthly.
In addition, the calculated revenue belongs to the company, and only half goes to token holders. The other half is used to fund operations. Therefore, if this figure is interpreted as a valuation of the token, it should be calculated at approximately US$246 million per year, at which time the multiple is approximately ten times.
Our assessment: Only revenue is maintained and destruction can support the price.
From the perspective of the editorial department, repurchase is the strongest feature of the token and its biggest reliance point. Three well-documented points support this view: 17.11% of the maximum supply has been destroyed, the plan period is fixed until April 2027, and the $1.158 billion in revenue the platform has earned since its launch. Projects making money at this scale are more than just a story.
The contrast is the trend of the past four days. Revenue fell by 16.0%, followed by a decrease in the daily amount available for purchase. The business model relies on the launch of new tokens, the most volatile part of the cryptocurrency market. If activity there declines in a few weeks, price support will weaken with it, with the deadline until April 2027 guaranteeing only percentages, not amounts. In addition, there is still a risk of complete loss of such tokens. This does not constitute buying and selling advice, but it points to a key indicator: daily income.
Buying PUMP in Germany: Requirements for MiCA licensed exchanges
MiCA is an EU regulation for the crypto market that requires every provider with EU customers to be authorized after the transition period ends on July 1, 2026. In the official language, authorized providers are called CASP (Cryptographic Asset Service Providers).
In practice, this means two things. First, not all licensed exchanges list all tokens, and smaller Solana tokens generally appear less frequently than large tokens. Second, where tokens can be traded and whether the provider is legally operating are two separate issues. For which platforms hold German authorizations and trade in euros, please see our overview of the best crypto exchanges, which compares fees.
There are common trade-offs when it comes to hosting. By leaving the token on the exchange, you bear the provider's risk; by moving it to your wallet, you bear the responsibility of accessing the key. In terms of taxation, Germany still applies to private sales with a one-year holding period and a 1,000 euro annual income tax exemption. Reporting obligations under DAC8 do not change this; they only improve transparency to tax authorities.
Leverage and Liquidation: Risks arising from perpetual contracts when incomes are low
A perpetual contract is a futures contract with no expiration date used to speculate on prices, usually involving borrowing funds. Liquidation is the forced closure of a position when margin no longer covers losses.
For a token with a daily turnover rate of 7.7% and intraday fluctuations ranging from US$0.005249 to US$0.005824, the distance between intraday highs and lows is approximately 11%. At ten-fold leverage, a 10% reverse price move would be enough to drain the margin. When depressed incomes cause price support to disappear, even if there is no news, this movement needs to be triggered.
Anyone using leverage should know the clearing price before entering the market, rather than looking for it after the first setback.
PUMP repurchase: Until April 2027, its operation depends only on revenue maintenance
- Focus on daily revenue, not just price: If revenue recovers above $1.88 million on October 5, purchasing power will recover. If it remains below $1.6 million, repurchase will be further reduced. - Include the holding period in the calendar: In Germany, sales within one year are subject to tax, and beyond one year are exempt. For which tool tracks purchase dates and deadlines by position, see the Overview of Crypto Tax Tools and Portfolio Trackers.
- Set your own level: Above is a weekly high of US$0.006518 and below is a weekly low of US$0.005418. These two values are observable and recorded; they are not price targets. To set up alerts in these locations, suitable services include the best encryption tools and data analysis platforms.
