A major Ethereum whale settled 52,001 ETH, earning a profit of approximately $24.48 million.

Another prominent Ethereum whale successfully sold off 52,001 ETH, worth approximately $136.88 million, generating a profit of around $24.48 million. This investor initially purchased Ethereum at a price of $2,162 per token, and later completed two major sales at an average price of $2,632 per token.

Meanwhile, another whale accumulated approximately 21,810 ETH by selling Bitcoin. This highlights the vastly different investment strategies among large cryptocurrency holders during market fluctuations.

The profits from this single transaction were substantial, with the average price exceeding the cost of acquisition.

According to blockchain data analysis platform Lookonchain, this investor completed the settlement by selling 9,996 ETH, valued at approximately $25 million. This transaction involved wallet address 0x8c58, which had previously accumulated a large number of Ethereum holdings through over-the-counter transactions.

The investor initially spent approximately $111.4 million to purchase 52,001 ETH, with an average cost of $2,162 per token. From all the transactions completed so far, this whale has generated an income of approximately $136.88 million, with net profits estimated at around $24.48 million.

Chain-level records show that the investor began reducing its exposure to Ethereum on September 24, selling 42,005 ETH worth approximately $111.89 million. This transaction accounted for most of the investor’s initial investment, leaving behind 9,996 ETH for future sale.

The remaining positions were subsequently sold for approximately $25 million, indicating that the investor has cleared all of its Ethereum holdings. In both transactions, the average selling price per ETH was around $2,632, which is higher than the original purchase cost. This difference resulted in an estimated profit of about $470 per token, bringing the investor’s total profit to approximately $24.48 million. This settlement occurred during a period of weakness in the broader cryptocurrency market, when prices fell across various major digital assets. Despite these conditions, investors managed to remain profitable, as the average selling price was significantly higher than the original purchase price. Another investor accumulated Ethereum by selling Bitcoin

. Independent transactions revealed that another investor had accumulated a large amount of Ethereum, highlighting the distinctly different trading strategies among large cryptocurrency holders. On October 12th, Lookonchain discovered that a large investor converted a significant portion of their Bitcoin holdings into Ethereum through transactions on decentralized exchanges (DEXs). The investor first sold approximately $34.16 million in 410.14 BTC and purchased 14,341 ETH worth $36.14 million. Another transaction involved selling 229 BTC worth $19.1 million and acquiring an additional 7,469.8 ETH.

Overall, these purchases amount to approximately 21,810.8 ETH, indicating a significant accumulation of Ethereum through the conversion of existing Bitcoin holdings. At the same time, the price of Ethereum was around $2,507.47, with a rise of 0.7% within 24 hours. These transactions highlight the disparity between the actions of “giant whales”: while one side made huge profits, the other side increased its exposure to Ethereum by selling Bitcoin.
